Lajjo is shocked and embraces her father's dead body. Uday questions wjy they weren't told about the situation, and Kuleet says that he told Ranbir. He tells Ranbir to acknowledge the truth. Ranbir says he did take the phone but didn't think that Jaswant woulld pass away. Kuljeet is angry and tells a distraught Ranbir to leave, Lajjo and Uday are both sad and hurt. The hospital come to take the body, and Lajjo isn't ready to let go, and Kuljeet and her Mami stop her.
At home, Dadaji is discussing a reception for the wedding. Liza comes and apologizes for the morning. Dadiji says it is fine, and tells her when Lajjo gets back they both can make halwa. Liza says she only knows how to make custard. Abhay tells her she can learn.
Ranbir and Uday return and everyone asks aout Jaswant. Ranbir inform them that Jaswant is no more, and everyone in the family is shocked.
Ranbir remember his friend Jaswant and is in tears. Rama comforts him, and he tells her that he has committed the gravest sin, in not letting Lajjo go. Rama consoles him, and says he did what he felt was right, but Ranbir is incosolable.
Everyone is gathered for the funeral and Lajjo hasn't left her father's side or stopped crying. Ranbir is filled with guilt. Mami says that Jaswant left the world without seeing his daughter as a bride. Rekha says that if Ranbir had said something today they wouldn't have to feel ashamed in God's eyes. Dadiji tells Rekha to keep quiet. Ranbir is unable to offer any solace as he watches Jaswant's body being taken away.
Lajjo remembers her childhood, and is saddened even more. Everyone pays their respect, and Jaswant's body is burned.
Later as the family ome home they discuss bringing Lajjo home. Ranbir says that Lajjo needs Uday's support. Rekha says that she is better off staying at home for a while. Ranbir says that he will bring Lajjo back.
Precap: Lajjo goes to Kuljeet and says that she will not go back.
