So I finally started watching it because I loved the last one (till Anandi was the central character).

And honestly. It's so bad. Obviously it has such low viewership that doesn't seem to be picking up anytime soon.

First of all.. I had had enough of Shivangi's cringe acting in YRKKH. But she's bad in this show too? No innocence, no charm, no silent strength in eyes, nothing. She's still playing Naira, only a quieter version of it. She doesn't even look 18. (Where the usual ITV problem is that actors look too young for their roles)

The setting is so urban too. Why TH? No accents, no native wear, no folk music. They all talk & look like any generic urban show. It could be set in Mumbai or Bangalore for all its worth.

Jigar, Anand, Kanku, & Maadi Baa are the only good things about this show. Even though their writing support is equally shallow, they are elevating it with their presence & performance. Samridh actually feels like a menacing creep. Randeep's presence is so charming & calming. Trupti makes you feel bad for Kanku with her sad eyes. And Ketki Dave.. She's a legend. Needs no words.

I have to agree with you. Besides shivi, all the other actors are playing their role well and as required without any overacting either. Randeep and Samridh are doing really good, although randeep isn't given enough given his character is mostly soft-spoken and calm type although he was really good in that social worker disguise role and effortlessly funny, and samridh is probably getting the most to do performance wise and is acing it. I haven't seen much memorable roles from him, but this will definitely be his best of his career even going forward I feel. Maari baa and bhairavi actresses are also very good with good screen presence (what you should expect from two such seasoned and senior actresses). Shivangi unfortunately is falling very flat compared to these four actors.

I so so so agree with the Naira point. There's always a reason why actors prefer to take a break after long years of shooting the same character. Shivangi should've better gone for a leave. Even the costumes of shivangi no more make her look fresh to eyes. It's simply looking at Naira/Sirat. Also the idea of turning Jigar's attitude totally negative is just so cringe idea. Makers didn't think twice about the scenes they gave us of Anandi - Jigar. Two small friends struggling to get perfection suddenly developed immense hatred for each other🤡

Totally agree. A glimpse of few min into the episode, can tell, there's no glaring difference btw naira and anandi. The makers did a wrong choice of casting shivangi. Though all 3 have a good chemistry, somewhere the story is lacking the energy and connection to the character anandi. and yes, costumes are too heavy for 18yr old look. It just looks like a monotonous play for her from last 2yrs. Nothing much to appreciate or talk abt versatility.

I used to watch before leap and really liked young Anandi. That girl added a charm to this show. And supporting cast, setting, dialogues and costumes looked good too. I was hoping the leap would be good. But I lost most of my interest when I read Shivangi will be playing Anandi's role. That woman can't act to save her life. Still thought to give a chance to this show. But I couldn't sit through one episode with Shivangi's atrocious acting. On top of that, show lost all its charm when they shifted to urban setting. Now it looks like every other ITV show. At least the rest of the cast is acting well. But Shivangi really needs to take acting classes. I don't usually keep much expectations from serial actors. But this woman is really bad.

She really does stick out like a sore thumb amid all the actors. Yeh rishta ran on yeh rishta's loyal fan base and then couple fan base that kaira popularity created and rajan shahi and shivin both did great job in creating great chemistry from start.

Here the show has to run on story (which unfortunately isn't presented authentically or believably given the type of topic it is based on), then on top of it the supposed main couple anand-anandi aren't exactly presented in the typical itv couple way the way kaira type couples are presented as anand-anandi story is different to be able to have the same type of scenes from start that other popular itv couples usually do, so at least the show should have focused on presenting the child marriage issue and the rural backdrop more authentically than this strange mish-mash of urban setting with backwards family of anjaariya's who do child marriage, so then the show could have gotten ratings to begin with on the basis of it's story and presentation first when they don't have a love story like other shows that can get them ratings and a fanbase.

Balika vadhu has always been about rural living and the struggles of young girls caught up in such backward practises that are carried out in these rural areas. The show did not present that aspect properly.

Bruh, they're literally using 'Naira's pictures to decorate Anandi's room 😆 This is show is so slow effort! Such a disservice to the Avika-Pratyusha season.
