It seems they took his help with some legal cases. That's something any human being would do if they knew a person who could help them out of a problem.

This conman's modus operandi is gifting expensive / outlandish gifts to heroines and befriend them. Shud be the same with the likes of Shraddha and Shilpa. Anyways, not surprising. They unfairly get paid so less movie fees but are expected to show off a lavish lifestyle. Easy to lure them.

I am not surprised that Raj Kundra knows this conman. He is so shady.
