Can't digest Ram's reaction to Vedika not paying NGO money

First of all, why should another person pay for someone else? No wonder, even Priya was weirded out about it. 😕He could just talk to Vedika but here he offered to pay the whole amount. Ok, agreed he still loves her but she has another life now, why should Ram be responsible for her anymore? And why he feels still responsible to pay on behalf of her, she is nowhere in his life now. 👎🏼He needs to understand this. Ok, he feels sad that he couldn't get a life with her...but that's the truth. In the current situation, she is an outsider. They have separate lives, they are not one for Ram to automatically say ok, she didn't pay it, so what...i will pay for her. 😔I felt worse when he didn't even understand why Priya felt weird about him paying for Vedika. I don't understand how can such a big businessman be so gullible. Now many might say he had told Priya about his past. Well, telling is one thing and paying and carrying the past by making himself pay for his ex is another.

But didn't Shashi tell the same thing like Ram will pay? Ram is a bit wierd in the Vedika deal. Actually his entire love should be the ek tarfa pyaar he hallucinated to help him with his loneliness the same way he hallucinated that Nandini, Shubham and Shivi cares for him. He tries to find love and validity in wierd places. Doing things for others had been an expression of contact and feeling for him.

Shashi had been using Vedika to use Ram since a long time. It's not actually even love anymore, it's the habit or bure aadat of feeling or doing this for Ram!

And shashi & Vedika don't want him lose the bure aadat and keeps giving him situations to relapse while his friends are trying to deaddict and save him. Now since Priya is here, his aadat his loosening on that side.

This whole thing is super weird & the only blot - yes blot - on Ram’s characterisation. To offer to pay off a married woman’s dues is basically slighting her hubby who is supposed to be her provider. Even if was Brinda, it wld be weird for Ram to pay instd of Adi unless it is a temp help like say Adi is out of town & Brinda lost her credit card kind of situation. Or if the hubby was genuinely in financial difficulties, then it has to be with his consent.

To unilaterally offer to pay a big amount on behalf of another man’s wife - that is exactly what Ram has done is not just weird but indecent.

It might be like I'll give it now and later do the adjustment. Uff the gender roles in the above comment is wierd to me I'm leaving this planet 😂

If it's like 200/500 Rs I might do this for a friend and later I'll call him up and ask the money and the deal falls between us. Because the marriage is very new, I would be more interested on my new partner not thinking that my friend who I have had a longer association with who is more my family is a fraud. So I might do what Ram did in the above situation. 2.5 lakhs might be like 250 Rs for Ram! I'm sorry I can't process the above gender roles. It's wierd 😂

Like others mentioned yes he has no conflict problem solver mode ON. So that's how Ram bhai handles everything like Shivi says. And yes he would also think about jumping to help Priya. It's the first she asks him to!

So there is the problem of are we listening or problem solving.

Ram always jumps to the second. And unlike we thought, the oppurtunity to help Priya the one time she asked might be the reason. And Vedika wouldn't be important here. So Priya itself is important. And when she reprimands him he is like confused. Poor Ram 😂😂😂

While I do not agree with provider mentality, irrespective of it...it's weird that a person is paying for his ex who has clearly moved on...and the way he was ready to pay immediately seemed like he thinks of it as his responsibility...in reality, paying for her or for that matter, even her husband is not his duty. Well, as for Brinda...she is not his ex-girlfriend for whom he is pinning...but Vedika is.

Well, I am not concerned about the gender roles, so won't comment on that. While I accept that Ram might be thinking as you said (not letting your new partner think they are fraud), but after he is ready to pay such a huge amount without even asking them, anyone will think that they are money-sucking leeches all the more. (which they are though 😡)

Ram paying for Vedika may or may not be because of his soft corner. We need a monologue or something to understand what exactly is his state of mind wrt Vedika.

I think it has to do more with who Ram is as a person .Someone who is scared of offending people, does not like confrontations and conflicts until absolutely necessary.

Priya is not at all scared of offending people. She will straightaway come to the point . Will never mince words. For Ram this is a difficult task.

For him money is a very petty issue . He would rather pay the bill of a friend than confront him/her for not paying.....

I don't think he understood Priya's point. It was not about money, but it was about what is right. Vedika told them that she was not doing donation rather buying it. As soon as Sara asked for money, she is like ohhh that donation..

Priya wanted to give those NGO children , money that they have earned for their product and not charity..

when ram offered to pay the amount at first, i was confused too since he was kinda ‘ignoring’ vedu these days and more importantly priortizing priya over vedu too. but then when he thought like vedu is his past, priya his present and future then i was like oh okay that makes sense! and its not about vedu, even if it was any of his friends or siblings he would have still payed the full amount as he is flithy rich.

if ram still had something for vedu, the kal ho na ho music would have started playing whenever vedu came on screen or priya mentioned the name vedu 😆 and also ram would have listened to vedu and stare at her instead of priya. now he just listens to priya and stares at priya

anyways still depends what makers will show and how the writing shapes up in the future😆
