You were right. When Adhi came to know that imlie believes or proved right a major guilt was avoided but at a time he doesn’t want to openly acknowledge it that he is victim of rape.

I don't think scores can ever be settled because one chose the right whereas other chose wrong. Both their intentions were good but the person Adi ji chose to believe is wrong. This amplifies the injustice towards Imlie. That can never be compensated with anything other than Adi ji's immense suffering. If he suffers the same way since the truth revelation, only then the scores will ever be settled between them. More than half of the things that Imlie went through can never be topped by Adi ji. His suffering has just started, scores will be settled when he'll break the way Imlie broke. Their scores would have settled if he understood Imlie and stood by her. If his reactions these days were the same when Imlie saw them in the same bed with MC.... So yes, scores are not settled yet as Sk is in jail for a crime he did not commit and MC is free, even after committing a crime that could've costed the life of a man she claims to love and has raped. Scores are not settled because Adi ji did put Imlie's education and scholarship at risk with video deletion even after knowing that she was fighting for his honor. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah that scene, when Rupi was telling him all that, he was looking like he was getting some revelation, that he never thought on that, this was after Imlie told him how it affects her to be in his room, and his justification was I don't initiate conversations with her!!!

Edited to Add: If you look at it, Malini's behavior with Adi is pretty much the same from when they were married, only the PDA is missing, rest everything, she acts as if they are a couple, serving him food in his room, sitting on his bed, waiting for him, getting pick up and drop from him, correcting his mother about their wedding anniversary date. And Adi sees nothing wrong with it because she is his zamindari! Imlie never got that kind of treatment when she was his zemindari!

And after all that, he had baseless accused Imlie of affair. even before he saw them in the hotel room, he was accusing Imlie and taunting her with Aryan and their friendship, which wasn't even there to begin with, all because Malini was filling his ears with Imlie and her being gold digger. He is aware that Imlie and Malini are having some issues and there is a fight over him, so, when he brushes off everything Imlie says against Malini as her insecurity and fight between sisters, why is he not brushing off everything Malini says against Imlie? Imlie in her difficult outburst, she says when you accuse boss-intern relation it is difficult, and he didn't even stop then and even think on it!

Imlie kept telling Adi that Malini's intentions are not right, and he continued to treat Malini with the same respect and decency.

Malini told him Imlie is a gold digger and is now with Aryan, he sees Imlie getting out of Aryan's car, and taunts her about her friendship.

My first moment of disconnect with Adi happened during the medicine issue. Imlie was accused of giving Malini wrong medicines and Imlie says she got the medicines from the prescription Malini gave. The family accuses Imlie of purposely giving Malini the wrong medicines, instead of defending Imlie, Adi goes to the pharmacy to investigate. He sees the video and I was shocked when instead of saying "I got proof to prove Imlie's innocence." Adi goes "Imlie looks so happy, if she had purposely changed the prescription, she wouldn't be this happy."

The thought that, he did consider that Imlie could have purposely bought the wrong medicines was shocking for me. But then reading everyone's thoughts and justification on that incident, I felt I was being stupid but now, I feel that as a predecessor to all that is happening now.

That is why he let her speak to him alone.

No, my point is that Adi said SK shot him, SK said the same thing, so there was no question of Imlie choosing to believe SK over someone else. This was not a scenario of Adi saying SK shot me and Imlie saying SK would never do that, you are misunderstanding.

I don't agree with Imlie letting SK escape, but I could understand her. When you think from what she has experienced so far, the police were never SK's allies, they were always out to crucify SK. while commissioner and minister uncle are Malini's allies. So, if SK goes to jail without proving Malini's involvement, only SK would be punished for it, Malini will go free. Imlie's demand was first send Malini to jail and she will send SK to jail after that.

And Imlie's this argument was proved one hundred percent right, when Malini was shot and SK was accused. The police didn't even bother to listen to Imlie's and his version. if they wanted they could have tested SK, Imlie and Malini for gun powder residue and found the real shooter, but since it was Malini and AC accusing SK, they believed them without any kind of investigation.

Adi can have blind faith in Malini, but when his wife is saying something contradictory, he should hear her out and give it the consideration that it requires. There was a theory that Adi doesn't even listen when Malini talks but it was proved that he listens and absorbs it all with the way he was quick to judge Imlie's relation to Aryan, and he doesn't listen to what Imlie is saying because Imlie already told him that her relation with Aryan was that of boss and intern, but he thinks they are having an affair.

Adi saw Aryan putting on a coat for Imlie. He walks off then berates himself that he could be misunderstanding then he decides to talk to Imlie and gets the divorce papers. My question to Adi is, why can't Imlie ask for a divorce because he is a crappy husband? Does Imlie have to have an affair with Aryan to ask for a divorce? In his head, he thinks Imlie will ask for a divorce only when she has found a better and richer man than him, why? Because Malini said so!

Blue2: How will telling him do any good when he himself deleted the proof. His choice again circles back to his faith in MC to be a good human that nullifies all of Imlie's claims.

Blue3: It again comes down to the question of IF. That scenario of choices after his full knowledge of being rape victim, never happened. So we cannot exactly say how he would've reacted.

@bold: But how do we know that he knows the truth. He never from his own mouth or monologue ever said that he was raped.🤷‍♀️ most of us are only speculating that he knows about it and is still mum about it. Again it comes down to choices. Who would Imlie believe if she had to make the same choices between SK and Adi. First time only she chose to believe SK without even thinking whether or if Adi would listen to her side of story or not and Adi chose to believe Imlie even after knowing what SK meant to her.

Both of them chose to believe the people closest to them. I have never blamed Adi for trusting MC cz there is a lot of history between them will definitely blame him for his negligence towards Imlie's pain and sufferings. His failure to not acknowledge Imlie's concerns.

When I say he knows that he was raped, I mean that he knows all the fact, just like Imlie. Imlie told him every single thing that happened. That Malini told her, that Malini gave him drugs and Malini raped him. It is him that who refused to believe it. He cannot ever say that he didn't know he was raped! Because he was told countless times that he was raped and was given proof too! All he can say when he finds out is that, "I trusted Malini over Imlie! Imlie begged me to believe her but I chose to believe Malini" there is nothing else he can say when he is at a point where he can't ignore or turn a blind eye to whatever proof/Malini's confession he is given.

Yes, even now he is asking what wrong did i do? where did i go wrong?

You ask him, and he can start pointing out, point by point where all Imlie went wrong.

Imlie forgave him too easily and always understood his side that, he never really had to take responsibilities for his actions.

His family is unanimously telling him that he went wrong and he refuses to see it, and is adamant that it is Imlie who went wrong because she is not accepting Malini in my life!

Imlie has gone wrong, but he has gone way more wrong compared to her. if he had put a little more effort then this situation wouldn't have risen.
