Here comes my maan dose for the weekend. Am too excited to see Anu move in Anuj's home and their new beginning. Hope you all like it, please share your feedback.

Anuj wakes up with the sunlight falling on his face. He opens his eyes to see Anu with wet, open hair and aarti in her hands. She is moving across the room and spreading the warmth of aarti in its every nook and corner. His eyes follow her across the room while he keeps rubbing them at same time as he couldn’t believe if its dreams or his life has changed forever.

Anu: ab uth gaye hai to baith jaeiye

She gives him the aarti, his gaze fixed on her face he brings his hands forward close to aarti, bit more than what’s required, his hands get slight burn and he quickly pulls away and put them on his head. It’s not a dream, she is here for real, thank you Kanhaji and smiles.

Anuj: Good Morning Anu

Anu: Juice rakha hai jaldi se pejiye, mere wapas aane se pehle ye khatam hona chahiye

Anuj recalls yday evening he had got discharged from hospital. And Anu had come with him to his house. She had then cooked and fed him his dinner. But after that, he can’t recall, as he had fell asleep. This was cheating, he didn’t get chance to thank her, say good night or talk to her. Damn, probably those medicines, it must be there effect.

Anu comes back and finds the juice still lying untouched on the side table. She asks him to finish the juice, he takes the glass was about to drink but stops.

Anuj: ye kaunsa juice, iski to smell bhi ajeeb si hai, please Anu main ye nahi pi sakta

Anu: koi natak nahi, naak bandh kariye aur ek ghoot mein peejaiye. Main dekh rahi hu, chaliye jaldi kare

Anuj, closing his nose with one hand, drinks from the other and finished. He then smiles at her and exclaims happily as ho gaya khatam.

She takes the glass from his hands and turns to make a leave. However, Anuj was quick to grab her pallu and make her stop. Please thodi der baitho na kuch baat karte hai

Anu pulls a chair next to his bed and sits on it.

Anuj: Anu aise kab tak naraz rahogi, tumne hospital main bhi thik se baat nahi kari mujh se .. bas dawai khaiye, khana khaiye …

Anu instead of looking at him occupies herself in studying her hands.

Anuj then leans down side ways to bring his face near her hands and looks up towards her face. Then he brings his hands towards the ears and hold them as symbol of apology and says Sorry

Anu: maafi kis liye

Anuj: pata nahi, tum naraz ho isliye maafi mang raha hu, ab to maaf kar do aur mujh se baat karo Anu, please

Anuj thinks, I know Anu seeing me like that in hospital would have hurt you a lot. But I couldn’t control myself when I saw you in pain there. If only, I knew the outcome, if only, I knew that it would hurt you even more. I would have stopped myself. I am sorry my love, I really am, please forgive me.

Anu thinks aap ko hospital main us haal main dekh ke main kitni maut mari hu, aap ko andaza bhi nahi, aap nahi jante aap ke meri zindagi main kya mayne hai. Kash main aap ko bata pati Anuj ki aap mere kya hai

Anuj: Achcha Anu, wo police aur hospital ne jo saman wapas kiya humara, phone, wallet wo hain na tumhare pass

Anu: Haan hain

Anuj: To tumhe us main wo chumbak mila kya, maine hospital main samar se pucha tha, par use nahi mila tha

Anu: Anuj, aapne kaha tha wo aapko Kaka ne diya tha, to jane dijiye use, aap us waqt bhi un gundo se kyu request kar rahe the

Anuj: Anu, wo chumbak mere liye bahut bahut special hai, please batao na

Anu: Mujhe nahi pata, aur kuch puchna hai aapko. Mere pass bahut kaam hai or aap bhi aaram kareiye, aap raat ko thik se soye bhi nahi, maine dekha tha, aap neend main baar baar bol rahe the

Anuj: Kya bol raha tha main

Anu: kuch khaas nahi, abhi aaram kareyi, wo zyada zaroori hai.. she thinks, main nahi batongi ki aap neend main baar baar bas anu anu bol rahe the

Anuj: to kal raat tum yaha ruki thi

Anu: Haan, jab tak aap puri tarah se thik nahi ho jate main yahi rahungi

Anuj thinks to himself and murmurs, aisa hai to main kabhi thik na hu

Anu: Kuch kaha aapne

Anuj: Bol du

Anu: Mazak nahi

Anuj: Pakka bol du

Anu: Anuj mere pass time nahi hai, bolna hai to jaldi boliye

Anuj looks into her eyes and says, “agar tum aise mera khayal rukhugi to main puri zindagi bimaar reh sakta hu”

Anuj thinks to himself, Anu main janta hu, tumhare man main kya, bhale hi us din tum kuch keh na payi ho, par tumhari ankhon ne kaha tha, hospital main bhi tum chup thi par tumhare jazbaat mujhse chupe nahi..main jaanta hu ek aurat ke liye apne liye sochna aur bolna kitna mushkil hota hai, tum to ek maa, beti aur saas ho, main samajh sakta hu, tumhare liye ye aasan nahi hai.. but I know you are strong women and I will wait for you, no matter how long it takes.

Anuj: Anu main soch raha tha ki samar ke saath aaj shyam to ek drive pe jao

Anu: Aap ko doctor ne 3 din full bed rest ka kaha hai

Anuj: Par anu drive to samar karega main nahi

Anu: Kyu jana hai drive aur kaha jana hai drive pe

Anuj: wo bas aise hi thoda lamba drive, fresh air aur thoda change hoga

Anu: uska koi fyada nahi hai, aap ko jo chahiye wo nahi milega

Anuj: Tumhe kaise pata, mujhe kya chahiye

Anu: Mujhe pata hai, aap wapas us jagah jaa ke apna chumbak dhund ne jane ka soch rahe hai, wo aap ko waha nahi milega

Anuj: Anu, please mujhe mera chumbak de do please, mera chumbak tumhare paas hai na

Anu: Nahi milega, ab chup chap aaram kariye

Samar, Kinjal, Bapuji come to meet Anuj and check on his health. As he has been getting bored sitting on bed, they decide to play some card games for fun and settle on game on Uno. Samar, says there should be some prize for winner too. Anuj, proposes then that the winner can ask for one wish from any of the participants. They start playing the game and after 4 rounds only Anuj says Uno and then wins in next round. Samar, asks Anuj what would he like as he has won the game.

Anuj: I want something from Anu.

Then he turns to face Anu and says I know I have hurt you, I am sorry, please mujh maaf kar do

Anu: Anuj, ye rules main nahi tha, aap ko aur kuch chahiye to boliye

Anuj: Anu, I am really sorry, please understand, main sapne main bhi tumhe hurt nahi kar sakta. Please maaf kar do

Anu this time chooses to stay silent, she can’t say much in front of all.

Bapuji: Anuj beta jaha pyaar aur parvah hoti hai, narazgi bhi wahi hoti. aur ruthne manane ka bhi apna maza hota hai. Tum koshish karte rahe, koshish karne wale, kabhi nahi harte

Anu gets up from chair and was about to make a leave but Anuj was quick to hold her wrist.

Anuj: Aise nahi Anu, mera inaam abhi baki hai, lao mujhe mera chumbak do

Anu looks at him in the eyes, as if dare to challenge him but then relents and give him the chumbak. Anuj, kisses the chumbak and says I love you, maine tumhe bahut miss kiya, meri jaan and then looks at Anu and smiles.

Also I realized while reading this that while Anu knows about the Chumbak, Anuj doesn't know that Anu knows right? (I'm getting confused now but I'd want to see something like this in the show too)

Have to say after seeing the episode and SBB/SBS i was disappointed today. As hina said, was fickle minded and all set to move on from MaAn. But then the comments/thoughts/troll/banter here lifted my mood. So here I am with follow up to my OS hope you like..

Next 3 days passed in similar fashion, Anu cooks tasty food but is strict with kadaa and medicines. They play games through out the days, some new suggested by sanan, few reminding of maan college days and few by GK, Bapuji.

On 3rd day evening, Anuj had a follow up and was told that he is doing better and should start will little bit physical movements, no more need to bed rest.

Anu, Anuj and GK are having dinner together. Anu has cooked a lavish meal, all Anuj’s favourite as there are no dietary restriction for him anymore.

Anuj: ye din kaise chale gaye pata hi nahi chala. Mujhe laga nahi tha but these were the best days of my life.

GK: the to hum band jaise Corona ke lockdown main, par is baar Anu ki wajah se lockdown nahi, vacation laga

Anuj: to ek kaam karenge, next time jab hi aisa lockdown hoga, Anu tum yaha aa jana

Anu: Haan

They both realise the implications of the words they uttered impulsively and feeling bit shy pretend to look else where.

Anuj: waise aaj doctor ke checkup ke liye hi sahi, at least car main baith ke achcha laga. I can't tell you how much i am missing drive and fresh air. GK, can we please go for a drive, ab dinner to ho gaya.

GK: mujhe to time pe sona hai, main tumhari tarah nahi hai. Tu aur Anu jao agar jana hai to. Akela tu nahi, Anu bhi tere saath, 3 din se ghar main hi hai, ye bhi bahar kaha gayi hai.

Anuj meaningfully looks at Anu, he tries to read her face and thinks she might not be comfortable. But then, he realises what GK said was true, Anu was also caged with him.

Anuj: so Anu, kya tum chalogi drive pe

Anu taken aback by the direction question, looks at her plate and says Haan.

Anuj: wow Anu tum to bahut achchi car chala leti ho.. to hum kaha ja rahe hai drive par

Anu: main soch rahi thi highway road pe chale, will be pleasant air, city main to smoke aur traffic hi hoga

Anuj: haan highway drive ka apna hi charm hai, main college time pe bahut jate tha apne bike par. aur isi bahane tumhari highway drive ki practice bhi ho jayegi

Anu: haan

They drive for some distance in silence where both keep looking at each other from time to time.

Anuj: Anu, main thik hu, saamne bhi dekh lo warna accident ho jayega

Anu getting caught red-handed while staring at Anuj for long time blushes and immediately turn to look on road ahead

Anu: haan, wo wo ..

It's quiet dark on the highway, mostly deserted, surrounded by trees on both sides, only few road side dhaba or petrol pumps can be seen. They cross a small dhaba on the opposite side of road, which is beautifully lit with lots of lanterns, fairy lights and bonfire. Anuj silently admires the place and his eyes follow it for some distance, as long as it was visible. Anu follows his eyes to see the object of his admiration. Little ahead, Anu makes a U-turn.

Anuj: itni jaldi abhi to drive start hi hui thi

Anu simply looks at him in eye but choses not to answer. Soon they reach the same dhaba again and Anu stops the car.

Anu: ek cup chai ho jaye

Anuj: haan chalo

They pick a cot near the bonfire and ask for 2 cutting chai. The place is nothing fancy, small dhaba where bikers, highway riders, trucks make a pit stop for refreshment. However, the owner had outdone, in terms of lighting, lots of fairy lights surround the dhaba, near by trees making for a perfect romantic hang out place. There were group of youngsters, bikers mostly in one corner playing guitar and singing.

Anuj: ye jagah bahut sundar hai

Anu: haan

Anuj: tumhe pata hai jab main New York tha, I used to love the Christmas time with snow. Raat ko jab wo lights lit the place, it's so beautiful. Main to roz raat ko drive pe jata, just to admire the beauty. tumhe bhi dekhna chahiye, humari diwali jaise hi raunak hoti hai christmas par. Is baar to late ho gaya but next year hum dono christmas time pe waha jayega.

Anu: Haan

Anuj calls himself a gadha yet again on realising how he impulsively again, asked Anu to accompany him to US. He recalls the whole tamashah that happened during their Mumbai trip. He turns to look at Anu to apologise when it strikes him that she said Haan.

Anuj: Anu

Anu: hmm

Anuj: Will You Marry Me?

Anu dumbstruck, stare at Anuj, unsure how to express herself while she wants to say yes. In fact has been trying to share her feeling with him for so long. This was a way too direct question, she can't, does not want to say no but how can she say yes. She seems to have been frozen with the thought of being married to him, which incapacitated her faculties.

Anuj though has been hoping to hear a yes, realises yet again that he should not keep any umeed. He releases the cross fingers at the back, bring both hands in front and raise towards Anu as if being caught during a theft.

Anuj: Anu, main mazak kar raha tha. Tum shyam se har baat ka jawab sirf Haan main de rahi thi. Mujhe dar tha kahi Mrs Shah ne tum par koi jaadu tona to nahi kar diya bas isliye. Chalo, ab sab thik hai

Diffusing the tension in the air, both look at each other and share a hearty laugh. Anuj yet again disappointed, tells himself to not keep any umeed. Anu still unsure of how and when she will be able to share her true feelings with him.
