Part 3: Kal ek nayi subah hogi

To all those like me, who felt todays episode ended too soon. Here's my take on how the episode should move forward. Hope you all like it, please share your feedback. Ignore typos, no proof-reading.

Anuj tilts his face to see are those tears in her eyes, yes. "Tum thik ho Anu", has always been his first words in such situations but today how can he ask this. Today, he was the reason behind those tears. But how can I hurt someone who means the world to me, whose happiness means my happiness. Whose existence defines my existence. How can I hurt this beautiful soul I worship?

Yes, i am guilty of hiding about Malvika. But how can this fact cause her so much hurt. How can she be so perturbed because of this one fact; i didn't shared with her. Since, when I became so important for her that unknowingly I also got the power to hurt her to this extent. Only those who are close to us, possess power to hurt us to this extent. Yes, she has acknowledged that no one can take my place in her life. But, it also meant a small place in her heart. When did this small place became the sole or most important place in her heart?

Aaj pehli baar main khud ko single feel nahi kar raha tha. it wasnt' just about me, somewhere i felt that because of Anu. Because since accident, she has become a part of me, so integral that somewhere we two singles melted into one. It wasn't just me, i guess even she didn't feel single anymore. Yes, it must be the reason.

How do i make this right? i should be punished, how can i hurt my love, my god? Sorry, is too small a word to even make up for the hurt, i have inflicted on her. Knowingly or not, doesn't matter. What matters is that, she is hurt and aaj pehli baar maine apni Anu ko hurt kiya hai

Anu wipes the tear and looks at Anuj. Anuj realising the hurt however is unable to look into her eyes, his earlier guilt is replaced by hurt in his eyes and he isn't able to say anything. Very next moment Malvika comes back to take Anuj with her, she holds his hand and pulls him away.

For the next few mins, Anuj is barely able to speak to anyone. His earlier happiness on meeting Malvika is now over-shadowed by Anu's hurt. He mechanically moves around the party with Malvika, merely nods to people and all the while commanding his own tears to stay in place.

All this while, every now and then Anuj's eye will look across the room to find Anu. Often, both will catch each other's eyes and then immediately look in other direction. Anu, is standing with Samar and Nandhini silently in one corner and has been trying her best to hide her hurt from them.

Malvika senses that Anuj is not interested in the party, she feels maybe it's time they should head home and talk in privacy. It's been 10 years since they last met, that must be reason behind Anuj's silence. She immediately pulls him again, says let's go home and drags him outside. Anuj's eye once again seeks Anu but the guilt and hurt prevents him again from saying anything.

Once they are outside near car, Anuj is unable to hold his emotions anymore. There are tears in his eyes which is seen by both Malvika and GK. Concerned Malvika asks GK what happened.

GK turns to Anuj and says, let's wait here. I am sure Anu will also come outside soon, you should then ask her to join us and come home with us. Before Malvika could say anything, GK asks her to sit on the backseat with him, inside the car and he will explain everything.

Anu informs Samar that she is tired and wants to go to her home now. Samar asks her if she is not going to Anuj's home. She says, now he has Malvika to look after him and she doesn't want to intrude in their family's private moments.

Samar, reminds Anu of the Rohans incident when she had said "zindagi ki gadi ek baar pyaar ke bina chal sakti hai, par bharose ke bina nahi". He asks her to give at least one chance to Anuj to explain and then decide. "Jo bharosa aapne mujhe Nandu pe rakhne ke liye kaha ek baar aap wo bharosa Anuj pe rakh ke to dekhiye, ho sakta hai unki bhi koi majboori ho."

Anu says right now she is feeling suffocated here, she needs to breath and should go home. Samar says he will accompany and drop her home as its late, reluctantly she agrees.

Outside the hotel, Anu sees Anuj, reclining near the driver door, he had been patiently waiting for her. They both look at each other, Anuj asking her to give a chance and she contemplating what to do. Without uttering a word, Anuj moves towards passenger side, opens the door and stands next to it. He doesn't meet her eye this time but looks down, as if letting her make her decision and not imposing his own thoughts.

Anu, realises her love for Anuj is some where stronger than the hurt. She should at least go with him now to his home. Once there, she can decide whether she wants to stay for night or she may collect her stuff and leave for her home. She looks at Samar to convey that she will go with Anuj. Samar bends his head to express his happiness with her decision.

Anu makes her move towards the car and sits on the passenger seat, all the while careful to not look at Anuj. Anuj, tries to look at her but is unable to make any eye contact. The drive back home, is mostly quiet only Malvika and GK at times trying to make some jokes to lighten the environment.

Once inside Anuj's home, Anu feels very uncomfortable, the home which felt her own home few hours back seems all stranger to her. GK senses her discomfort and before Anu can say anything, thinks he needs to do something.

GK: Anu beta, raat bahut ho gayi hai. Aaj raat tum yahi ruk jao, baki sab kal subah dekh lenge. Beta, main janta hu tumhare man main bahut sawal hai. Main sirf itna hi kahunga, tum ek Maa ho, tum samajh sakti ho, maa-pita bhi kuch baat bacho ko nahi batate, isliye nahi ki pyaar ya bharosa nahi hai. balki sirf isliye ki shayad us baat se unhe dukh hoga. Kayi baar hum apno ko dukh na dene, dukh se bachane ki koshish main, unjaane main khud unhe dukh dete hai.

Anu: Kaka, aisi koi baat hi nahi. Aap sahi bol rahe hai, raat bahut ho gayi, ab aap ko so jana chahiye.

Anu goes to the cabinets, pulls and brings medicines to Anuj. 'Ye raat ki dawai hai, sone se pehle le li jiyega'

Anuj takes the medicine and moves his head slightly to say yes. His head has been bent ever since they entered the house and he hasn't been able to look up. He thinks to himself, how his world has turned upside down in a matter of hours. Few hours back before party, he and Anu were so close as if they were one, belonged together and now they are miles apart like strangers.

"Anu, Anu, Anu, please don't leave me. Please don't leave me, Anu. Main tumhare bina nahi jee paunga, main mar jaaunga. Please dont go. Please dont leave me Anu"

Anuj's screams wakes up everyone. Anu was the first to hear, to rush to his room. He was having a panic attack, worst than ever before. Anu immediately rushes to his side and tries to console him that she is here. Seeing her, he immediately pulls her into his arms as if trying to physically stop her. He keeps repeating 'please dont leave me Anu' and tightening his grip around her every time. His grip is so tight that its actually hurting Anu, Anu realises the extent of his fears.

Anu realises he is having a panic attack and is shocked at how badly he is affected. Her love overpowers her earlier hurt, she tries to comfort him by rubbing his back.

GK and Malvika also reach there and see that Anu is already by Anuj's side comforting him.

Malvika: kaka, Anuj ko aaj tak aise sapne aate hai

GK: haan, beta, kya bolu

Malvika: par maine Anuj ko aaj se pehla itna dara hua kabhi nahi dekha

GK: kuch paa ke khone ka darr, na paa ne ke darr, se humesha bada hota hai

GK, keeps a glass on water on side table and both leave the room. Anu heard the entire conversation but chose to pretend as if she did not hear. She kept rubbing his back and trying to control the sobbing, scared Anuj.

Anu: Anuj, main yahi hu, aap ke pass, shant ho jaeye

Anuj: tum, mujhe chod ke nahi jaogi

Anu: nahi jaongi

Anu slowly tried to loosen his embrace and hands him the glass of water. Anuj not willing to let her go, grabs her one hand and drinks water from another. She wipes his tears, and asks him to sleep, promising him yet again that she won't leave him. Anuj agrees and lies down however he doesn't let go of her hand and holds her hand close to his heart. Anu softly closes his eyes and asks him to sleep, says Kal ek nayi subah hogi
