Okay, I know we've all been imagining what Anuj will be like when Anu finally tells him. This is my imagination of it. Anuj is so secure with himself that he doesn't seem to mind expressing his emotions, he doesn't mind crying and showing his raw self.
I must admit I've taken inspiration from outlander where he meets his love after twenty years. I wish for Anuj to show those Jamie Frazer emotions.
So here goes :)
Anu sees anuj drop on his knees and fall to the ground. He was shaking, and sobbing, and had gone completely into pieces.
This was hardly what she expected considering she had given him what she thought was good news. She'd finally fought her fears and told him that she had feelings for him. Romantic feelings.
Anuj isn't able to process what Anu had just told him. "Mujhe aap pasand ho" she said, "woh... Pyaar wala pasand". He couldn't believe his ears. If his ankle wasn't still hurting from the recent sprain, he would've checked if he was dreaming this. But no, the dull pain in his ankle was still there, although, mysteriously, the dull pain that he had in his heart for the last 26 years was suddenly gone. And then it hit him, this is what he had wanted for all his adult life. Wanted, but not hoped for, the stuff of his wildest dreams. Was this what it was like to be completely happy? he thought. As joy, love, relief, and fear all came rushing into his mind at the same time, he was so overwhelmed by it, his eyes filled up with tears, his knees buckle and he dropped to the ground, shaking, bursting with joy, relieved that he didn't have to live with that heartache all his life, scared if he would meet his own expectations of what he wanted to be as a partner in love.
But he doesn't mind being completely shattered now. She's there to put him back together, and heal him. She might insist on healing him with kaadha, but If that's all it took for him to complete his happiness, a lifetime of kaadha, so be it :)
