SRK was at his absolute best in movies like Darr, Baazigar, Anjam. Like he completely aced those roles, I can't imagine anyone else in them ❤️

That is still something one can try unlike playing a blind, mute or autistic or schizophrenic person as those are more of a challenge and harder to pull off because person has no experience of it and no way to experience it either. At times there is no reference point for an actor to begin from. That is where the challenge lies, in how actor gets his expressions, body language right.

The kicking motion can still be done by a body double or nowadays rely on special effects to pull off action scenes. But no body double or special effects can create other kinds of characters.

It is also an added burden of responsibility when playing roles such as a physical, mental or genetic disorder or disability because you have to be authentic and make sure it is not disrespectful, wrong, caricature, inaccurate portrayal and does not come across as insulting or prejudiced. The filmmaker, writer and actor are usually walking a tight rope when they address such delicate characters.

An action stunt has physical risks but not social, cultural risks or risks of backlash from medical and patient/survivor groups in case of a wrong portrayal.

I think except Akshay I have not heard of any actor taking risks to do own stunts. Most of them use stuntman and body double to do the risky work.

I was asking about actors of today's times. Sunil hardly does movies nowadays.

In today's times I doubt if anyone except Vidyut does his own stunts without relying on body doubles and special effects.
