Samantha completed her Sakuntalam shoot recently. She talked to a media channel in this perspective. She came out with several aspects of her film career and her Bollywood entry.

Sam said, "We are in the digital era and I don't think someone is great if he or she is away from social media. Whatever be the habit, it should be limited. It is better to be silent on some topics in social media. If at all one has to give a reply, it should be stronger than silence. I will open up only in such situations".

She is so delusional, she cannot see this in her own behaviour.

This comment was prescient.

The problem with her that she doesn't know what to do with the attention that she received from the fans. But she loves this attention.

It's her hard work and luck that she is a star today. The stability and confidence that she always lacked, Chay fulfilled it. It's indeed a huge loss for her. I am not surprised to see her reaction. It is rightly said that in the coming days we can see many such statements from her side. In my opinion, Chay seems a product of a broken marriage who wanted to start family, hence got married. Was he anyhow depended on Sam the way she was? Don't know. That's why I am curious to know how he conducts himself in the coming days.

P.S- Whatever happened between them is really unfortunate. They looked so happy together.

About Chay and divorce: I can't think that any child from a broken home would seek to repeat the pattern.

How will Chay behave? He probably did not have enemies before Sam. Now she has him firmly in her sights instead of leaving him in her rear-view mirror. I hope he has a good PR team: subtle but effective.

Here's a thought about Rana's facilitation of Sam's international film venture. It is a universal truth that Rana is protective of Chay. Could Rana have facilitated it to get Sam off Chay's back?

About Sam's PR: IIRC, Sam's PR had posted that Sam was going to launch "Eternals" in India. A few weeks later, it is Rana who has the honour. Is there anything out there that Sam's PR will not latch onto?

What has Sam done for Chay: probably got him to open up. She has done nothing for his career. In fact, the comparisons between her career and his have hurt him. Had he not married her, he would have just had Nag and the ghost of ANR to contend with.

What has Chay done for Sam: the value of the stability Chay gave Sam cannot be underestimated. In one of her interviews, Sam said that she went to gym just to be with Chay. She was definitely not in the physical shape she is now before they became a couple. That discipline has rubbed off and probably set the stage for a FM2 .. and yes the Akkineni family name helped.

Chay is better off without her and he looks the best he ever has. Eat your heart out, Sam ...which is what she seems to be doing.

So true!! He made her realise the value of family as said by Sam in several interviews. Sid-Sam came across very different in comparison to Chay-Sam. One thing I found really interesting, when these divorce rumours were at its peak, around September, Sam on her insta handle shared an interesting post.

"You lose the right to complain when you turn around and do the exact same...Remember that"

I don't know whether it was related to her divorce but I found it interesting. There was even an article on this.

I just saw the stills from the Pushpa item song. I am perplexed: how does Sam (or anyone for that matter) reconcile feminism with being objectified? She complained about flowerpot roles in the Film Companion interview. How exactly is an item song better?

She is just pursuing her career aggressively and for that she needed a powerful comeback and this Pushpa song gave her that buzz.

I am having the feeling that she is trying to prove something but to whom ?

As someone who genuinely loved their pair , I think she should have taken some time to heal before aggressively going for her career.

Why would she need a powerful come back when her career is in the strongest position it has ever been? I find it very curious that these actresses who beat the drum of feminism are not averse to taking on roles that do little to advance the cause of women with the excuse of it being necessary to advance their careers: "Do as I say, not as I do" lip service and self-promotion.

Sam is not an impoverished actress struggling to pay the rent or with a flagging career which needs the boost.

Clearly principles and profit are poor bed fellows for Sam.

Sam, the regressive hypocrite, should really stop giving advice to women.

As to whom she is trying to prove something to: I feel strongly that she is trying to "show Chay what he is missing" in some kind of arrested development.

The whole idea of 'item song' is problematic. The representation of women in commercial movies has always been a matter of debate. Actresses who are already established should come forward and set a new trend. It's sad when a successful actress like Samantha who is in a position to choose roles according to her choice, has preferred to do this kind of songs. I really wonder what made her do this item number that's too just immediate after the announcement of her divorce ?

In the beginning I had the feeling that it was Sam who initiated this divorce but with the each passing day it seems like it was not the case. Nevertheless, this song has created a huge buzz and in theatres it will bring out the exact reaction from the audience that it aims at, people are already assuming that it was Akkinenis orthodox mindset that caused the divorce.

I don't think that akkineni's are orthodox.if you observe carefully even Amala Akkineni dresses fashionably.and even sam's lifestyle and dressing sense totally changed after their marriage.in an interview sam once said that after she gives birth to her child she will discontinue acting.and nag sir said that, 'there is no need for that..but that's what you want you can do any business to keep yourself occupied.doing something is important..that's what keeps you active and exciting'...wise words if you ask me.

If she doesn't want divorce then she don't have to go with the formalities.who is forcing her?? isn't she the first person to start all the hungama since July 30th??same goes to chay as well..if he doesn't want then don't do it.why sulk??why withdraw into your shell?? have you guys read the reddiff article on chaysam divorce issue written by subash k.jha??even their parents are not aware of the reason it seems.

I really don't know the cause for their seperation.it may be medical issue,ego clashes else professional commitments.. whatever it is they could have resolved it.thank goodness there is no legal access,we needn't divorce our parents and siblings..else my heartfelt sympathy to family courts.

There are many parts of society which are progressive and object vehemently to the portrayal of women as nothing more than sexualised objects.

Isn't this what she and her new best buds, Taapsee and co., have been fighting against? It is astounding that when on an upward trajectory career-wise, she should choose such a role.

Since when did an item song become the height of free choice and the symbol of a liberated woman in command of her own destiny?

Yes!! I did... That's the most strange thing about this divorce.... After divorce Sam is everywhere and chay is no where. They decided to opt for divorce, it was their choice. Even I think their divorce has nothing to do with their family. There is a buzz that Chay is doing a film with Sam's best friend. I would be really surprised if this film really happens. In several interviews Chay Sam talked about how difficult it was for them to be on the same page. I guess that ego problem has always been there. During Love story promotion Chay looked visibly dull.

As far as I followed Sam, she always mentioned that how Chay supported her every decisions, even during family man promotion, she mentioned how Chay pushed her to take up the role. Those followed Chaysam, it's difficult to believe the rumours that are going on regarding the reasons of their divorce.
