Pre wedding ShiVi trope. Nothing majorly explicit, but I'll still tag this as 16+. Let me know if I should mark it otherwise!

....

Raavi sneaked out of the goods truck parked in front of Hostel 6, and tip toed her way through the lobby.

Luck was on her side, as the watchman was snoring away at 1 AM in the morning, allowing her to walk past easily, but carefully.

Climbing three floors, she searched for Room 302. She wouldn't be able to wish him first, but she wanted to surprise him. On his birthday.

5 months. It had been 5 months since she had seen him, been around him. Annoyed the living shit out of him.

Distance makes the heart grow fonder. In these 5 months, she realised how she truly felt about him. It was not just about irritating him like clockwork.

She missed him, his smile. The void he left behind when he left for college, made her feel like a part of her was missing. He hadn't come home for the holidays, due to the pressure of college, and she wanted to see him.

When her feelings had intensified, she didn't know. It was no single moment. It was slow, and gradual, like building blocks. One by one, one moment by the other, and it was when he video called one day that she realised she truly loved him. Her tears wouldn't stop flowing, of happiness on seeing him and constricting pain on him not being here physically.

And she ended up telling everyone that pepper powder flew in her eyes.

So, she escaped her hostel, just for a day, planning everything to the T, to surprise him on his birthday and tell him how she felt.

But as she stood in front of his door, she was not so sure anymore. What if he didn't reciprocate? What if he dragged her by her arms and threw her out, like he did all these years?

She didn't think all of this before travelling 4 hours to see him, so there was no point in using her brains right now. Before she changed her mind,

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Raavi nervously waited, as she heard hushed whispers and shuffling from behind the door. And the soft voice, with a rough, raspy one.

One was Shiva. One was of a girl.

Andar ladki hai? Shiva ke saath?

Before she could process everything, the door cracked open, someone peeked through, flung the door open and pulled her in.

"Raavi? Tu yaha?"

His voice was like ambrosia. Him standing in front of her, a few inches away, was like sunshine on a winter morning. The way he looked at her, had made butterflies appear in her stomach.

But before she could bask in the happiness of the moment, she noticed the girl standing behind Shiva.

They were dressed alright, didn't look like they were fooling around at 1 AM, but the clothes strewn on the floor said otherwise.

Suddenly, the look he was giving her didn't make sense. She could see the unease behind it, realising she had interrupted what seemed to be a pretty private moment.

"Woh. Sorry. Maine nahi socha ki-" She pointed between the two of them, and moved back, sitting on the stool behind her.

"Raavi, tu jaisa soch rahi hai, waisa nahi hai-" Shiva moved to explain, but she raised her palm.

"It's okay, Shiva. Mai hi aise chali aayi, ye bhi nahi socha ki aaj raat tujhe apne girlfriend ke saath bitana hoga. Aise hi aa gayi surprise karne." Raavi looked down, fiddling with the paper bag in her hand.

"Kya?"

"Happy birthday, Shiva." She said, not so excitedly, and handed over the single pastry she bought for him.

Shiva took the bag from her, still looking at her in surprise. She was here. In blood and flesh. And remembered his birthday, when he himself forgot. He took out the pastry box from the bag and opened it.

Blueberry cheesecake. His favourite.

While Shiva stared between his pastry and chipkali, Raavi looked at the girl.

She was beautiful. Hair cascading until her waist, perfect curves, eyes that one could drown in, wearing simple tracks and a t shirt.

"Aaj tumhara birthday hai?" The girl exclaimed, getting up to wish him.

Kaisi girlfriend hai, birthday bhi nahi pata Shiva ka? Isse better toh mai hu. Dushman hoke bhi yaad hai.

"Oh I'm so sorry," The girl walked towards Raavi, extending her hand, "I'm Paro."

"Raavi. Paro? Short for?" Raavi asked, shaking her hand.

"Parvathy"

Raavi gaped between them. "Shiva. Parvati. Jodi made in heaven, nahi Shiva?"

Shiva glared at her, while Paro tried to explain, but Raavi wasn't listening.

"It's fine, explanation dene ki zaroorat nahi hai. 2 ghante ki baat hai, phir mai khud chali jaaungi yaha se." Raavi sat down again, taking off her jacket, to reveal what she was wearing.

A simple pink, floral, spaghetti top with blue jeans.

It was enough to make Shiva's mouth go dry. She had never worn anything like this before. Had she travelled all the way like this? There were enough leeches in this country who would have their gandi nazar on her.

A surge of protectiveness rushed through his veins until he saw her jacket, which was zipped up until a few moments ago, giving him some relief.

But her words brought him out of his thoughts. Was she going to leave at 3 AM in the morning? Did she realise how unsafe it would be?

"Tu raat ke 3 baje yaha se jaayegi?" He growled.

"Haa. As I said, tujhe aur teri girlfriend ko disturb-"

"BAS!" He yelled and pulled her by the wrist to the far corner of the room, away from Paro's earshot.

"Kabse sunn raha hoon, 'girlfriend girlfriend'  ki ratt lagye rakhi hai tune. Maine tujhse ek baar kaha na, woh meri girlfriend NAHI HAI!" Shiva yelled, pulling her closer to him.

"Accha? Kyu maanu mai teri baat?" Raavi spat back, anger surging through her body.

"Kyu NAHI maan sakti tu meri baat?" He retorted.

"Aadhi raat ko, tere kamre mein ek ladki hai. Maine jab knock kiya toh tum dono ki awaaz aayi andar se. Tumhare kapde," Raavi pointed towards the clothes on the floor, "aise zameen pe bikhre hue hai, bistar pe bedsheet neat nahi hai, aur YE," She swiped at his cheeks, the pigment transferring to her thumb, "Ye lipstick ka nishaan tune khud toh nahi lagaya hoga. Toh mai KYA SAMJHU?!"

Shiva looked around, and could see now why she would think that, even after he refused the accusation. But how would he explain that none of these incidences have nothing to do with the scenario she was creating in her head?

"Yahi na, ki teri girlfriend yaha aayi, you were having a good time, aur maine interrupt kar diya, right? But tu toh kabse bol raha hai, 'girlfriend nahi hai', toh kaun hai ye?" She asked, before she gasped. "Shiva, don't tell me you believe in one night-"

"CHUP! EKDUM CHUP!" He yelled, and she flinched, backing into the wall. "Ab zyaada ho raha hai, lagaam daal apne vichaaro par, samjhi?"

Maybe it was the sheer pain and shock of seeing him, imagining him with someone else, that made her emotional over something that he's been doing for so many years, and she has done back as well.

Fighting. Yelling. Crying.

"Ab ro kyu rahi hai?" Shiva asked, his voice immediately going calm, swiping away her tears.

"I'm sorry. Mai nahi jaanti usse, nahi bolna chahiye tha uske baare mein aisa." Raavi gently pushed his hand away, "But it's okay Shiva, 2 ghante ki baat hai, phir mai chali jaungi."

"Kaha? Aur kyu?" His voice came back with same intensity. Does she not know how unsafe it is to leave the house at this hour?"

"Meri marzi. Tujhe jo ukhaadna hai ukhaad." Raavi glared at him, before stomping at his foot and sitting down in her original spot.

Shiva sighed and pulled a chair next to her, while Paro, who was trying not to eavesdrop on the whole conversation, sat down on the only other seat, avoiding the bed.

"Shiva, ye kaun hai?" Paro asked, innocently.

Kaun hai? Kya matlab kaun hai? Itni possessive girlfriend life mein nahi dekhi hai maine.

"Raavi. Mami ki behen ki beti. She's family." He replied with a small smile.

Family? Jhootha. Ek number ka jhootha. Itne mahine pehle tak toh mujhse one hand distance pe rehta tha, ab isko mujhe family banana hai? Besharam kaddu.

"Family? Mujhe laga teri girlfriend hai. Waise girlfriend bhi toh family hi hoti hai na." She smiled, looking at Raavi.

Daat dikha rahi hai, daayan. Accha tareeka hai apne boyfriend ko chidhane ka. Kutti. Kamini. Chod Raavi, tu kyu apna maatha fod rahi hai inke peeche?

"Nahi, girlfriend nahi hai. Meri kaha koi girlfriend hai, tujhe toh pata hai."

Haa haa, ye bhi khel raha hai saath mein. Idiot kahinka. Mere saamne flirt kyu kar rahe hai ye dono? Aisa lag raha hai abhi kiss kar denge. Ew.

"Ae chipkali, moun vrath hai kya tera? Aise bina baat kiye ghoore kyu jaa rahi hai?"

Raavi shook her head, and gave some garbled nonsense that confused the both of them, before she pointed towards the pastry.

"Pastry laayi hu. Khaayega nahi?"

"Of course khaunga. Tune zeher toh nahi milaya na isme?" He cocked an eyebrow at her.

Raavi stuck her tongue out as he opened the box and reached for the spoon, offering it to Paro first.

Mujhe kyu offer karega ye? Waise laayi toh mai hi thi, but courtesy naam ki cheez hoti hai ki nahi?

"No thanks re, mujhe blueberries se allergy hai." Paro refused politely.

Shiva se expected tha. Allergies pata honi chahiye ki nahi?

"Ae phoolkumari, khaayegi?" Shiva scooped up some cheesecake and held the spoon in front of her mouth.

Raavi blinked twice and smiled, before eating the cheesecake from his hand, and smiled even wider as he proceeded to eat with the same spoon he just fed her with.

"Oh god!" Shiva tasted the cheesecake and slumped. "Duniya ka best cheesecake hai ye, sabse best!" He exclaimed, eating some.

"Really?" Paro asked, tone souring Raavi's mood again.

"Cheesecake kaha se best hoga, he would have eaten out something much better." Raavi mumbled under her breath.

"Kuch kaha tumne?" Paro asked, not hearing her correctly.

"Nahi nahi. Nothing at all."  She smiled nervously, hoping no one heard that.

Quite a few minutes passed, with them talking to each other, accompanied by Raavi's mental commentary, which almost got her in trouble a few times.

"Shiva. Kaha hai woh?" Paro asked, looking at the door.

"Aayega. Tu ruk thoda."

"Kaun aa raha hai?" Raavi asked nervously. Seriously, Shiva mujhe itna hate karta hai ki usne kisiko mujhe kidnap karne ke liye bula liya? Kyuki maine uski rangeen raat kharab ki?

"Shiva, bata na, kaun aa-" She asked again, but the door slammed open, and the events that followed happened in a blur.

A man entered the room, and as soon as his eyes laid on Paro, she got up and kissed him, pulling him into a hug. Then, they quickly grabbed their bags, which magically appeared on the floor somehow, thanked Shiva and ran away, in the middle of the night, together.

Raavi just stared as Shiva got up to close the door, trying to grasp what just happened.

"Bhains ki aankh," She exclaimed, which made Shiva chuckle, "Ye kya hua?"

"Baat ye hai, ki woh mera roommate tha, Pratik, aur jo uske saath bhaagi hai, Paro, woh uski girlfriend."

"Girl-" The word got stuck in her throat. Paro wasn't Shiva's girlfriend? "Par fir tere gaal pe lipstick?"

"Woh... Paro room mein aayi, aur mai peeth dikhake so raha tha, usse laga mai Pratik hu, toh usne kiss kar diya. Mai jab darr ke maare chillaya, toh usse samjha, aur sorry ki barsaat laga di usne." Shiva ruffled his hair, because it was embarrassing.

"Aur ye kapde?" She pointed at the scattered clothes on the floor.

"Paro jaldi jaldi mein kuch dhundh rahi thi cupboard mein, toh usne mere kapde pheke zameen pe, aur uske jo spare kapde Pratik ke side mein rakhti hai, woh feke."

"Par woh apne kapde kyu rakhti hai? Aisa kya karne aati hai woh?" Raavi asked, naively.

"Ae pagal," He rubbed his forehead with his fingers, "koi ladki apne boyfriend ke kamre mein apne kapde kyu rakhegi?"

"Woh-" She began, but shut up when she realised. How dumb was she being.

He saw her expressions and smirked, deciding to annoy her with the worst experience he ever had, "Ek baar toh mai room ki chaavi leke andar aaya, aur Somnath ki kasam, 3 hafte lage mujhe woh scene aur awaazein mere dimaag se-"

"OKAY OKAY SHIVA!" She raised her hands, indicating him to stop. "Aur tu aise chor ki tarah darwaza kyu khol raha tha?"

"Warden aake dekh leta, ki mere kamre mein ladki hai, toh kya haalat hoti, koi idea bhi hai? Mujhe kya pata tha, tu thi darwaze ke peeche."

Raavi gaped at him. So all those incidents, were in fact, coincidences. It wasn't what she was thinking. "Matlab woh sachme teri girlfriend nahi thi?"

"Usne mere roommate ko kiss kiya, aur uske saath bhaag gayi, aur tujhe abhi bhi lagta hai woh meri girlfriend hai?" Shiva asked, raising his eyebrows at her dumb question.

"Woh teri girlfriend nahi hai." Raavi started laughing at her stupidity. "Mai bhi kitni pagal thi." She clutched her abdomen and laughed harder.

How much she swore at the two of them, at that poor girl who was just waiting to run off with her real boyfriend. How much she raised her own blood pressure for something that didn't exist only.

Seeing her laugh, Shiva couldn't his laughter, because the universal rule is that laughter is contagious, and eventually, it was just two idiots laughing in an empty, scattered room.

"Oh god," Raavi wiped the tears from her eyes, laughter dying down. "So. Dumb. Anyways, ye room saaf kar lete hai, uth."

Together they picked up the clothes that were thrown all over the floor, and folded them neatly in the cupboard.

"Waise," She said, as he sat down on the bed, stretching his legs out on the floor, "Ye toh nahi thi teri girlfriend, but koi toh hogi jo wish karne aati hogi?" Raavi joked. "Arre, mai toh bhul gayi, engineering colleges mein ladkiyon ki population kam hai."

"Nice joke," He chuckled, arms holding his body up, "par hai koi."

Her remaining laughter died down in her throat, cursing herself for the so-called joke. "Hai? Tu kisi ko pasand karta hai? Matlab aayi nahi woh abhi tak?" She looked at the clock on his study table. 2:07 AM.

"Aati hogi." Her words got stuck in her throat, "Mujhe jaana chahiye Shiva." She bent down to pick up her jacket and bag.

"Aa gayi."

"Huh?"

"Mai jisse pyaar karta hoon," Shiva said, stressing on each word, sitting up straight, "woh toh already aa gayi."

"Kaha hai?"

"Waha." He pointed behind her, and her head snapped around.

A mirror. That reflected her, and him right behind her.

It took her 2 seconds to understand. Raavi turned around slowly, only to find Shiva looking at her, with all the love in his eyes.

I love you. He mouthed, not daring to break his heart if she didn't feel the same.

Before he could register what her reaction was, the wind was knocked out of him, as she jumped onto him, pulling him into a bone-crushing hug, the force of impact pushing them onto the bed with her on top of them.

"You idiot!" She slapped his chest, looking up from where her head was tucked into the crook of his neck, "Pehle nahi bata sakta tha mujhe!"

"Tu bolne deti tab na!" He replied shakily, "Ek min, ye kaisa reaction hai? Mujhe bata na-"

"OF COURSE I LOVE YOU, PAGAL GADHEDA!" She hit his shoulder again, before hugging him tighter.

His arms went around her, and in the momentum of giggling and laughing, he turned them over, so that now she was under him.

"Pagal idiot hai tu!" She broke the hug and linked her arms around his neck, still lying down, "Tere liye mai 4 ghante travel karke raat ke 1 baje aayi, aur tu mujhse puch raha hai if I love you?"

"I just wanted to be sure-"

"Shut up."

Only then did they register their closeness and the fact that their bodies were practically squished under each other.

They sat up straight, and Raavi got up from the bed, looking away, but Shiva pulled her back, and she sat on his lap, legs on either side of his waist, locked around it, his hands on her waist.

"Tu jaanta nahi hai maine kitna miss kiya hai tujhe." She looked down and whispered , fiddling with her hands that were locked behind his neck.

"Jaanta hu. Kyuki maine bhi utna hi miss kiya tujhe. Shaayad usse bhi zyaada." He whispered back, tucking her hair behind her ears, finger under her chin guiding her to look at him, so that he could look at her better.

"I missed you. So much." She whispered, resting her forehead against his, her breath fanning his lips, at the verge of tears.

"Aur ek baar ye mahino ke baare mein yaad dilaya, toh ro dunga. Chup ho jaa." He let his hands trail to the sides of her neck, thumbs grazing her cheeks, placing two soft kisses on each cheek.

"Tujhe kiss karu, Shiva?" Raavi asked, hesitantly, her hands on either side of his face.

"Mai toh kabse wait kar raha hoon." Shiva whispered, grazing his lips over hers.

As his lips grazed hers lightly, Raavi felt sparks run down her body, his lips were coarse and the beard that he had grown scratched against the skin around her mouth, she moved further into his lap, straddling him properly.

As they deepened the kiss, her hands went to his hair, fisting and tugging at the silky strands, he groaned, and she slipped her tongue into his mouth, her hips ground down on him lightly, as she kissed him harder.

His hands slipped under the top she wore, pulling her closer by her waist, his touch on her bare skin spreading a fire across her body, that she never wanted to die out.

She let her hands roam down his broad shoulders, over his well-built biceps and under his vest, throwing it off of him in record time, fingernails scratching at his back, as he kissed her harder.

She could barely keep it together, when he began to trail kisses down her jaw, onto her neck and to her shoulder, the scratch of his beard on her skin causing her to gasp lightly, as he nipped on the skin near the straps of her top.

Just as he was about to slip off the strap completely, a loud rap came on the door, startling them both as they jumped apart.

"Mar gaye, mar gaye, mar gaye!" Shiva mumbled, panicking, fixing her top and ushering Raavi towards the bathroom.

"Kya hua? Kaun aa gaya Shiva?" Raavi asked, gasping for breath, having not recovered from the moment they shared a few seconds back.

"Warden. Tu idhar hi reh. Andar se lock kar. Awaaz mat kar. Bilkul chup!" He put a finger on his lips for emphasis, before closing the bathroom door.

Shiva threw Raavi's purse and jacket under the bed, scattered his pens on the table, and opened the first book he saw on his desk. Electronics.

He looked around for any trace of her that would get them caught, and on finding none, he fixed his dishevelled appearance, gathering his breath, before opening the door.

Sure enough, it was the warden. Short, bald man with a belly that made him look 5 months pregnant. He looked harmless, but only the students of the hostel knew how dangerous he was.

"Itni der kyu lagi darwaza kholne mein?" His deep voice cut through the room.

"Woh sir, padhai karte karte aankh lag gayi." Shiva replied, pointing towards his desk.

"Padhai karte time kapde nahi pehnta kya?"

Shiva looked down at himself. He forgot to wear his vest. He was sitting in his trousers only.

Fcuk. The little minx would have left him in his boxers had this warden come 5 minutes later.

"Woh sir....." He fumbled for a few seconds, before coming up with the lamest excuse, "Mai push ups kar raha tha."

"Par abhi toh tune kaha ki tu so raha tha?" The warden asked, suspiciously.

"Arre sir," He said, confidently, "woh apne aap ko jagane ke liye, push up kar raha tha, taaki padhai karte karte so na jaau. Par phir bhi aankh lag gayi."

"Theek hai." The warden said, still not believing him, but his story checked out.

Inside the bathroom, Raavi was trying her hardest not to let her laughs leave the 4 walls. The lame reasons he was throwing to cover up the fact that he had a girl in his room, and was making out with her until 2 minutes ago.

Not any girl. His girlfriend.

The thought itself had heat rushing to her cheeks. Her face would be the living embodiment of a tomato if anyone could see her right now.

"Pratik kaha hai?"

"Bathroom mein." Came Shiva's reply, before he bit his tongue. He was just hoping Raavi had locked the door after he closed her in.

Warden uncle walked towards the door, and called out for Pratik. "Pratik? Tu theek hai? Kaafi der se hai andar."

Shit.

Raavi kept her palm on her mouth, not wanting the tiniest squeal to escape. If she didn't reply, Shiva would be in trouble. If she did, he still would be in trouble.

So she did the first thing that came to her mind.

"AAAAAAH! " She moaned, and by the silence outside the room, she had them where she wanted. While they were distracted, she pulled out her phone,  which was luckily in her back pocket.

Outisde, the warden and Shiva were stunned. The warden didn't expect to hear a moan, a woman's moan, come from the bathroom.

And Shiva didn't expect her to do this, of all things.

The warden stepped closer, and just in time, Raavi typed in the search bar and played the first video that came up on YouTube.

Oh god. Yes. Right there. OH GOD, YES, KEEP GOING.

The moment he heard the raspy moans of a man and woman playing from inside, the warden stepped back, colour drained from his face.

"Ye- ye kya ho raha hai?" He asked, clearly traumatised.

"Mujhe kya pata, sir!" Shiva replied, equally stunned, until he figured out his chipkali's plan. "Woh shaayad apna phone leke gaya hai andar."

"Woh mai samjha, par ye?"

"Hawww sir!" Shiva fake exclaimed, "Kaisa sawaal puch liya aapne! Ye engineering college hai, hum ladko ke bhi needs hote hai na! Ab yuhi thodi na 4 saal katenge yaha, kabhi toh-"

"Theek hai, theek hai!" The warden raised his palms and proceeded to leave the room.

When he reached the doorstep, he turned back to say something to Shiva, but just shook his head and left instead.

The door clicked shut and Shiva sighed in relief. He went and knocked on the bathroom door to call Raavi out, but she played the video again.

Less talking, more touching. I want to be left breathless by the end of the-

"AYE GADHEDI, mai hoon!" He yelled, but lowered his voice again.

The video stopped, and thank the Lords above it did, or else he would have lost it. Because, as he said, engineering college students have needs and-

"Gaya woh?" Raavi unlocked the door and stepped out, looking around.

"Huh? Haa, gaya. Par YE kya tha?!" Shiva exclaimed for real, pointing at her phone.

"Aur kuch nahi sujha mujhe."

They both stared at each other, before breaking out into fits of laughter, clutching their stomachs and high-fiving each other. Every moment of that interaction was hilarious and looking at each other's face made them laugh even more.

"Tujhe uski shakal dekhni chahiye thi, jaan, sachh mein-" He laughed, but caught himself.

Shit. Usne sun liya?

Raavi stopped laughing and looked at him with an expression Shiva couldn't read, because his heart was hammering in his head.

"Kya kaha tune?"

"Maine kaha ki tujhe uski shakal dekhni chahiye thi."

"Uske aage?"

Raavi walked towards him, as he stepped backwards, back hitting the wall, with no where to escape.

"Aage kuch nahi."

"Aise kaise?" Raavi raised herself on her toes, kissing his cheek. "Jaise tu meri duniya hai, waise mai teri kuch nahi lagti?"

"Jaan. Jaan hai tu meri."

"Aur kya keh raha tha tu?" She smiled at his declaration, running her finger down his bare upper body, "Engineering students ki needs hoti hai. Kaisi needs Shiva?" Raavi asked huskily, her palms hovering at the waistband of his trousers, threatening to go lower.

"Tell me Shiva, kaisi needs hoti hai? And how can I help?" Her palm grazed over his hardness, the other pulling his arm around her waist.

He groaned and placed both his palms under her thighs, hoisting her up and around his waist, legs locked behind him as he flipped them, her back against the wall.

His lips were pressed up against hers, kissing her with vigour, she moaned lightly as his tongue caressed hers in a delicate dance. He deepened the kiss and her hands fisted his hair, tugging lightly, he groaned at the sensation of her pressed up against him, her core was lined against his hardness, he ground harder against her, pressing her up against the wall.

As he backed her up further into the wall, Raavi whimpered lightly from the discomfort of being pressed up against the wall, the rough surface scraped against the skin of the back and irritated her, his hips ground against her again, and the pleasure had threatened to overwhelm her, yet as she tried circling her hips, the wall she was pressed up against hurt her back.

She withdrew from the kiss, smiling as he chased after, still trying to kiss her.

"Shiva, mai janti hoon you think this hot, lekin meri haddi deewar pe lag rahi hai. Bed pe chale?"

Shiva chuckled, and walked towards the bed, laying her down as she impatiently pulled him closer, fusing their lips together.

"Shiva," She mumbled in between the kiss, as he kissed down her neck, and looked up from his very important job. "Agar maine tujhe 5 saal pehle bola hota, ki hum aadhi raat ko, chori chupe, tere bed pe make out kar rahe hote, tu believe karta?"

"Mental asylum mein bharti karwata tujhe."

The laugh that rumbled through his body made her laugh too, as he dipped his head back to her neck, a smile etched on her lips.

Only then did she realise the pressure with with his hardness was pressed into her core, even through the layers of clothes, and even more in this moment, which he clearly was aware of.

She smirked and pulled him up by his hair. "Lagta nahi hai tujhe yaha koi action milta hai." Raavi said, grinding her hips against his, earning a groan.

"Shut up and kiss me."

And she did. His hands hovered over the hem of her top, looking at her, asking for permission, and she nodded, allowing him to get rid of it, off her.

Just as he was about to raise it above, it clicked her.

Oh shit.

"Shiva, ruk." Raavi requested, keeping her hands on his, stopping him.

"Raavi, tu mujhpe bharosa nahi karti?" Shiva asked hesitantly. He didn't know what to make of her action.

"Idiot hai kya? Of course, bharosa karti hoon! Warna aise," She pointed at their intimate position, "tere saath nahi hoti. Par baat woh nahi hai." She looked at him biting her lip.

"Toh?"

"Woh actually.... Maine iss top ke neeche kuch nahi pehna hai."

Shiva looked at her in confusion, before looking down between their bodies and pointing at her jeans, which were still on and buttoned.

Raavi rolled her eyes. "Andar, Shiva. Maine top ke andar kuch nahi pehna hai."

He frowned at her statement, until he realised what she meant. He immediately raised himself up and sat down on the bed, pulling her up, as they sat side by side.

"Nahi pata tha." He said, grabbing his vest and putting it on. "Par kyu?"

"Arre kya batau!" Raavi began her tirade. "Ye top ke liye mere paas transparent straps nahi the, jo bras the woh sab itne jaade strap waale hai, ajeeb dikhta, Maasi ko kitna kaha ki woh mujhe leke jaaye ye sab khareedne par woh bhul jaati hai. Isliye maine ye top bina bra ke pehen liya, aur straps itne tight kar diye ki ye top kheechungi, toh bhi nahi dikhega kuch, see!" Raavi pulled the front of her top and left it as quickly for effect.

Shiva just looked at her with an amused expression, at the speed with which she was talking, it looked she had to catch a train.

"Zyaada ho gaya na?" Raavi bit her tongue, as Shiva chuckled and nodded no. "Accha sun, tera koi shirt dede na mujhe."

"Kyu?"

"Abhi toh kaha! Ye top itna tight hai, mujhe change karna hai."

"Le le mere cupboard se."

Raavi searched through his cupboard, and picked out the blue and black checkered shirt of his.

Her favourite.

"Ab ghoor kya raha hai? Mud." She nodded, and Shiva turned his back to her.

"Waise, tu ye top pehenke college kaise jaayegi?"

"Ye wala shirt pehen lungi. Waise bhi it looks nice, thoda tuck kar dungi toh college mein pehenne laayak rahega."

"Mera woh matlab nahi tha."

"Toh?"

"Tune hi toh kaha, andar kuch nahi pehna hai, mere saamne sharma rahi thi, college mein itne log me saamne...."

"Uski tension mat le. Mai Gurpreet se kehke leke aane bol dungi. Mera samaan kaha rakha hai, usse pata hai."

"KYAAAA?!" Shiva turned around in shock, thanking the lords above she was buttoning the last button on and rolling her sleeves. "Tu usse kyu kahegi? Woh kyu laayega?"

"Kyu matlab? Meri room mate hai, room ki chaabi uske paas hi hai, meri dost hai Shiva."

Oh. "Woh ladki hai. Mujhe laga...."

"Ki woh ladka hai. Laga hi mujhe. Thoda life mein chill maar." She walked over and ruffled his hair.

"Come on yaar! Aise kitne punjabi naam hai, jo ladka aur ladki dono ke hote hai. Mai confuse ho gaya, mere khud ke batch mein ek Gurpreet hai-"

"Okay, okay. Chal. So jaa." Raavi yawned and fixed the bed and pillow, crashing onto the bed almost immediately.

Shiva just smiled and shook his head, looking for the extra mattress. When he came back with it, Raavi was looking at him with a glare.

"Kya?" Shiva asked, gruffly. "Bandh kamre mein hum dono akele hai. Mujhe hum dono pe bharosa nahi hai. Especially tu. Kya pata meri izzat loot legi tu."

"Oh shut up, dramebaaz" Raavi rolled her eyes, pulling him onto the bed, tucking herself into his side, one arm wrapped around his torso, leg thrown over his, as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

"Mai jab thodi der mein uthungi, toh mujhe long distance karna padega for god knows how long. Let me have this." She snuggled herself into him, as he kissed her head.

"Okay." He whispered, patting her gently to sleep. "Accha sun, mai tujhe 5 baje utha dunga, kyuki uske baad tera yaha se nikalna mushkil hai. Tujhe train station tak drop kar dunga bike pe."

She looked up at him, her brown hazel eyes getting a little watery. "Hum theek honge na, Shiva?"

"Haa. Sab theek hoga. Kya pata, next time mai tere hostel mein chupke ghus jaau." Shiva chuckled, wiping the tears in her eyes and she hit him lightly, smiling herself.

"So jaa, meri chipkali. Baad ka baadme dekh lenge. Aur kal thoda jhagad lena mujhse."

"Kyu?"

"Woh kya hai na, lovey dovey romance ka overdose ho gaya. Hume suit nahi karta, toh balance karne ke liye thoda behes kar le mere se kal, station jaate time- OWWWW chimti kyu kaati?"

"Because you deserve it. Gadheda. I love you. Goodnight."

"Love you too."

Meg🤗! This was so freaking good!!! It was better than good good!!!! I love love love this story so much I can't tell you how much!

You know what? This deserves a second part, or a drabble series that shows us a continuation to it... Would you consider that?

Coming to what I loved about it? There's a certain charm to pre wedding Shivi that just can't be matched by anything else... The college hostels, the sneaking around... I've lived in hostels for the past 5, nearly 6 years of my life, 4 years of school and then now in medical college, so I really related to that... The way he said I love you to her? My whole heart popped right out of my chest cavity in that moment and looked around for you for giving us that.. So comfortable, so soft.. So true to softie Shiva!!! It was my favorite moment, I'd say in fact...

I repeat! I loved it!
