A row with Aftab and a ruckus with Ektaa has made Natassha bold for the future. Whether in serials or in real terms, the kahani at Ektaa's stable is always high tension, of course with a twist in the tale.
Natassha Singh is not a good girl for Ekta, well... it seems! Reason? She had a tiff with the princess of telly soaps.
But, Natassha blames media for all this. "Misreporting is very damaging. Media had highlighted that I had a tiff with Aftab. But actually, my row was with Ektaa and it has snowballed into a major concern for me," confirms Natassha.
But grapevine has it that Ektaa and Natassha are "great friends"? So what caused the rift?
"I was shuffling a lot between the Balaji serial and my recent film. It was becoming increasingly tough and irritating. When I raised the issue with Ektaa, she said she wanted more work out of me as she considered me to be her friend. But I retorted back saying that this was throwing my schedule haywire and she can't thrust additional workload on me. This led to a friction and the subsequent tiff," clarifies Natassha.
But has there been a twist in the tale? "Yes. Differences have been ironed out and I am enjoying my work with Balaji. And I don't think that I would be moving out of the camp in the near future," a brimming Natassha confirms.
And what about Aftab? "Yes, I had a little tiff with him as well. But nothing major," she adds.
How does she shuffle between serials and films? "Frankly, there is not much of a difference for an actor. But in films, you shoot one scene a day, while in TV, it is like 16 scenes a day!" feels Natassha.
As of now, the Singh lass will have a comedy release next year with Arshad Warsi and Rajpal Yadav. "I am also busy with my southern commitments. I am doing a Kannada film currently," confirms Natassha. She has also done a number of films in Tamil and Telugu.
Workwise any difference in Bollywood and Tollywood: "Frankly speaking, people down South are more professional. Bollywood is more laid back," feels Natassha.
Plans to quit TV? "No. Even if I get bigger and meaty roles in Bollywood, I will continue with both. There is more visibility like that," she concludes.
