Yes many in entertainment and fashion industry are indeed high end escorts which is why these industries have a bad image and there is this notion that people from decent families do not take up work in these industries.

A lot of them are not even hiding it and media easily writes about 'foreign' and 'royal' admirers of X, Y, Z actors/actresses.

Earlier people from this industry would find it hard to get married or even get houses in decent localities. Mithun once said nobody wants to rent out or sell homes to anyone from film line. He rather blamed media for reporting about misdeeds and crimes of industry people than take any responsibility though. People's fear of allowing these actors or models in housing societies was not entirely baseless.

Earlier they were never considered role models or national icons or youth icons the way media and pampering by political parties have made filmi people like demi gods.

It's not hard to understand where even small level celebs get their lavish lifestyle from.

I agree with whatever you said about Jacqueline. She has hardly given hits nor knows the language or has many fans. Still she is in industry since 2009 and worked with big stars. Her way of climbing up social ladder is becoming more evident. Indeed the - 'anything for money' type.

I also wanna laugh at Nora's claims about how hard she worked to get there. This is her hard work?

People's reservations against working in the glamour industry is more due to social conservatism, rather than any moral uprightness. Nora at least is a great dancer and deserves her fame, if not her other dishonorable life choices. What exactly is Jacqueline famous for? She's even more expressionless than Katrina.

Jacqueline is just intolerable in my opinion. She has a super manly face and is completely wooden. I just can't comprehend how or why so many find her hot. 😳 Maybe it's something only straight males understand. There's something about her face that pisses me off.

I like Nora, but she should be held accountable for the shady choices she made.

Another article claims he would make hoax calls. The article also claims that she has already been questioned once in August for hours.

He’s a con man, there’s a strong possibility he conned her, not off money but may have a thing for beautiful women and fool them.

Especially Nora, she has already been duped by her agency when she first came to India, she seems rather naive to be. Having lived in Canada all her life.

Women also like fair skin. I have seen old ladies praising Elli for her dance and fair skin.

Fair and clear skin automatically means beautiful in India it seems.

Farha used to be admired for her clear skin in 80s though her acting and personality were no great shakes.

Fair skin obsession among men is way too real. I feel creepy when I read comments on YouTube calling Tammannah 'milky bar'.

I bet Katrina, Elli, Jackie, Tammanah would have less obsession for them if they did not have such fair skin.

Sometimes I feel even Helen was admired more for her western name, foreign looks and fair skin and not just her superb dance skills. A lot of other great dancers like Cuckoo, Vailankani sisters disappeared from industry while Helen lasted for decades and became a legend.

Probably result of colonial hangover and fascination with gori mem.
