At this point, I think Karan respects Monami, he doesn't have feelings for her. Subtle attraction was there but it was subdued by their fights and now when peace prevails, the attraction has returned on his side. He might be unconsciously trying to regret that feeling.

That's my analysis because karan is certainly not indifferent to monu anymore, she challenges him even though she's a nuisance most of the time and he really finds it different. This is what attracts him to her (not just in a sexual way of course, he can't help.but notice her overall, more than any other cadet)

Yes.. there is some sort of tension, attraction because nobody challenges him/ his authority like that. It would be an amazing slow burn couple if done right

I am sorry but brave kind selfless hona alag bat hai aur emotionally decisions lena alag baat.....aur yahi Karan ne kaha tha...besides that Karan ka past abhi tak hame nahi pata hai aur agar itni problem hai Monami ko to dur raho na Karan se.....just bcuz usse karan pasand hai to usse lagta hai karan ne bhi usse like karna chahiye......second thing agar samnewala apse kuch share nahi karna chahta to uske space ki respect karo na.....har kisi ke liye sab kuch share karna itna aasan nahi hota......Monami ko pata hai ki Karan ke bhai ki death aamir logo ke wajah se hui hai to bar bar us topic ko chedne ki kya jarurat thi waha pe......
