We also need one official rudali thread for Vicky-Katrina marriage, where people can whine and complain about why Kat is marrying Vicky.

It's annoying to see daily threads asking the same question.

Kat has been THE biggest fantasy for billion males ever since she hit it big in mid 2000s. I remember even at an elocution event at college a guy ended up blurting he would like to become rich and famous and spend nights with Katrina Kaif, forgetting what would other classmates or teachers say. 🤣

Male hearts would have broken anyway no matter who Kat married. But of course when it is someone like Vicky who neither matches her looks, riches or stardom, male fans were bound to feel angry and envious thinking 'what does he have', 'what did she see in him'. Some may have even thought they themselves look way better than Vicky. Vicky has joined league of Abhishek and Boney who are resented for getting stars like Sridevi and Ash.

I had also seen men laugh at Anand Ahuja and call him old for Sonam seeing the greys in his hair even in wedding pics and saying one can get any woman if he is a billionaire, no matter what he looks like.

Male fans were disappointed at Madhuri's wedding also but Dr Nene was spared trolling as not many knew him or had seen his pics and there was hardly any internet at every home then.

I remember Renuka Shahane and Ashutosh Rana wedding also sending people into a shock as Rana had Dushman, Sangharsh type psychopath, rapist, serial killer image while Renuka was always having a bubbly, homely image on TV and films. People went bonkers asking what Renuka saw in Ashutosh and why she married 'a man like him'. LOL!

People feel possessive about stars but seem to have way stronger opinions on women's choices in men.

I suspect we will have more outrage and repetitive topics, comments on this couple in coming days when media finally does cover their wedding and bazillions more comment on why Katrina married Vicky since he is hardly as famous or known among masses the way she is. Everyone knows Katrina. While for Vicky, you still have to remind people he was the guy from Uri and Raazi to identify him. His name is still not on everyone's mind nor he has instant recall value like Ranveer Singh for eg.

For most people it's gonne be case of ________ ke haath mein angoor. And bhoi fans are gonna bash her even more for not marrying bhoi. They are still trolling every news report about this wedding and calling Kat thankless or ranting how bhoi introduced her to this industry or whining why no one from Khan family was invited to VicKat wedding yet.

I find him good looking. His personality isn't that bad either. He's way better at acting than she ever will be. If anyone is settling for less here it's Vicky. She seems like a nice person but if you make a superficial assessment her face is a mess now and she established herself in the industry because of her association with Salman which is pretty embarrassing , and not because she was even remotely good at acting. She looks manly on top of it. He's gotta be bisexual or something xD The only thing they have in common from where I see it is a cute smile. Happy for them if they really love each other and if they're getting married at all.

Rajesh Khanna's female fans were way crazier than all the males combined. They abused Dimple like crazy and defaced public property by calling her dog, ugly bitch etc. That was of a completely different level.

Nene was spared because he was American. His profession and citizenship made up for what he lacked in the looks dpt. And yeah the internet thing.

Rajesh Khanna is an exception. He still has a section of possessive male fans also who still blame 'unlucky' Dimple for his downfall in mid 70s. His female fans were crazy though and reportedly one lady attempted to take her own life after she could not tolerate Rajesh marrying someone else.

I think Hrithik also left many heartbroken but was judged less as Suzanne did look good. Some lady had tried to sneak in their hotel room during their wedding celebrations and they had to call cops to get her out.

Aamir's both wives got flak from his female fans as they did not have conventionally 'beautiful' looks. Aamir hid his marriage when QSQT released. People were devastated to learn later that he was married.

But as a general trend I have seen male fans being more possessive and judgemental about choices of heroines when they get married. Especially if heroine has been popular once. They hate it most if she marries a man from another community or country. Preity, PC, Reena Roy got trolled for marrying foreigners. Kareena trolled for marrying a man from another religion.

They whine when man is less good looking, less rich, less popular than the woman- Abhi-Ash, Kat-Vicky, Zeenat-Mazhar.

I think women quit discussing male stars' marital choices after a point but men never stop discussing choices of female stars and take digs at criteria or mindset of women in choosing life partners whenever topics of celeb weddings comes up.

They almost resent their fantasy going to someone else or say 'serves her right' or 'she asked for it' when a female star's marriage breaks or she reportedly suffers abuse.

Men troll any video or post on abusive marriages of Zeenat, Rati Agnihotri and Poonam Dhillon and trolled Amrita for divorce from Saif.

Male fans seem more invested and judgemental IMO. Or probably use internet more than women which is why their trolls and memes are everywhere.

True. No internet. No social media. No 24/7 news channels then. Plus Dixits kept it mostly private except releasing few pics after the marriage ceremonies were over.

Karishma's wedding is the first one to be televised live on news channels and media showing arrivals of guests etc.

People cannot judge or make comments if they know less. They are bound to react if bombarded with pics and news on TV or online.

I agree on Nene's citizenship and profession saving him. A surgeon in USA has prestige attached to him. People still call him Doctor saab if he accompanies Madhuri to any show or interview. He's more educated than most of Bollywood so no reason to call him 'below level' or 'beyond league'.

Settling abroad is dream for a lot of desis anyway so Nene has more respect as a US based doc.
