Why was OTT a hit but BB15 a flop?

Just wondering. Format and creatives are the same only. Audience is the same . Some prominent OTT contestants are there in BB15 also but then why is one a hit and other a flop? Please dont say TEJRAN😆. Even if i agree that is one of the reasons but we all know it cant be the only reason.BB has been bias in every season including OTT. But still others season's and OTT have been a hit but not this season. Of course major reason is that there is no major rivalry. Of course there is some rivalry between Karan and Pratik but it's not the domination narrative of the season. So obviously BB15 is missing characters who can carry strong rivalries throughout the season.

BB13 had Sid who had many different rivalries which he carried out thorough out the season without caring about being disliked. Dominant one being with Asim

BB14 had Rubina and her different rivalries which she again carried without caring about being disliked. Dominant one being with Rahul.

OTT had Divya and her different rivalries . Almost with all HM's😆. No one liked her. But she continued her rivalries without caring about being disliked.

Obviously such a character is missing this season. What else could be there? No strong groups or friendships?

OTT was on Voot , voot pe toh even BB15 is getting viewers , more than OTT . Bas TRP nahin aa rahi .

if you judge how OTT was judged, then BB15 is also an online hit.

When comparing to all other seasons of BB, the TRPs are much less..so it's a TV flop.

BB15 is a flop because of the maker's obsession towards promoting their chosen one KK via Tejran as he's useless otherwise.

As you've mentioned the other seasons were hit because it had a lot of narratives going on -be it rivalries, bonding, friendships, etc.

But on this season the makers went the extra mile to promote their chosen one KK via Tejran by forcefully shoving down viewer's throats despite majority public rejecting it as evident by the TRPs, plus they totally sidelined the other players & didn't let any organic rivalries grow (like a Shamita VS Umar or Pratik VS Umar would've been fun).

NO! BBOTT was always Top-5 among original OTT shows. However BB15 isn't even top-10 in online viewership.

BB15 is a FLOP both on TV TRPs & online viewership.

The other BB seasons used to be either 1st or 2nd in online viewership but BB15 barely even makes the top-10! So BB15 is a flop both on TV TRP & online.

OTT never had a dull moment. There were tasks almost every day, they were voted live, they werent stale episodes. But single one think that sank this season is Aao Tejran Karein 😵

I don't know how we can compare success through two different platforms.

While it could be true that OTT had more viewership than Bigg Boss 15 on Voot, one has to also keep in mind that OTT was only available on voot while Bigg Boss 15 airs on Colors as well which would naturally divide the audience.
