I finally got around to watching the episodes from the Raavi sasti bike accident to the Mangalsutra pehnake re marriage episodes... Not completely because I didn't have the time, but most Shivi scenes that didn't include You-Know-Who, and family scenes... This is my two cents that I need to get out before I move onto the next track...
And.... I have to put this out here, or I won't be able to live in peace, Nalla is learning to act!!!!!! Finally!!! He has moved beyond his set of fixed expressions, and is actually trying to build chemistry with Simran! I've always liked Simran's acting, but Akshay's acting took away too much from DevTa scenes for me to be able to enjoy them! Now that that's no longer the case I find myself enjoying their scenes....
As for Gaura, loved Shiny as a happy go lucky, about to be mother. Didn't watch too many scenes. Pissed off at Gaumbi foyer having the gall to hide the truth from Dhara, really. But the scene where she was dancing with the calendar had my whole heart.... So sad the actress probably refused to play mother because she would have made for a very beautiful onscreen mother...
Krish Kirti, I think from the one scene I watched by mistake because it was shoved between a Shivi scene, is going to be about having what you can't for Krish (an actual thing for most school and college aged guys), and simply manipulation and an in with the Pandya parivaar for Kirti...
Coming to Shivi... This track was Alice's!!! Completely!!! Although I've always loved Kanwar's acting more simply because of the nuances he brings out that sometimes Alice misses out on, she's improves leaps and bounds as an actress from when she first started this show and it's a pleasure to watch! Also, loved how Kanwar uses his voice to bring out certain emotions that the script or direction doesn't allow him to, because it kept me from completely losing connect with Shiva... Also, this sends to be a trick Alice, although she used to use before as well, is improving now too...
The overwhelming happiness on Raavi's face during the engagement and remarriage scenes, the way Shiva keeps peaking into her face for consent, to gauge her thoughts when he cannot ask her for it, was beautiful! That look of satisfaction he has after both those scenes were so so sooo beautiful. You could feel him wonder, is this really happening? You could see his unspeakable joy! His satisfaction, that, oh! If she's letting me do this, it means she's really mine now! She's really coming back to me! For me!
His nod right after the scene where Raavi tells him he doesn't need to change is the same.... Wonder and mine and this is for me and a certain pride in Raavi's principles... And KD pulls it all off so effortlessly!!!
I am not happy with Suman, but will not comment because I've been religiously skipping her scenes...
Overall, the makers could've used a much better plot device to make Shivi get back together, but despite the painful journey the ending was satisfactory for me solely because of the acting!
