I remember one incident where I was going to a baby shower in NYC and I wore a simple bandhani salwar kameez , it was not even heavy. N everyone in subway was looking at me 😆 n I felt like all eyes were on me..

JasFa working in Canada like in tim hortons or gas station convenient store and their boss blast on Jassu for her mistake/ lack of English 🤣

To the amazing writers.. sorry I am being too demanding. 🥺🥺

Jasmin will never go to kenneda. It's no use writing a fiction on that. No one in the forum will be keen on reading. But jasmin after ditched by fateh struggles to make her own way to canada by brushing up her English taking odd jobs in malls or high class type restaurants , trying to converse with guests , that will be interesting.

I have seen people dressed like that in real life.. coming from India to Canada, on a few flights over the last 15 years

or girls who visit India from Canada, wearing 20 pounds of gold before landing in Delhi

the subway is ruthless lol, even if you wear regular clothes they will stare😅 I went to a Diwali function at my college and I was staying in the dorm that time, when I came down in my saree, everyone was looking at me like I was crazy because it was so chilly 😂. Jasmine is in for a sad reality if she thinks that coat is warm enough 😂

I understand its imp to wear suhaag ki nishaanis but you dont have to show up like clowns.

i think we indians are just shy of what we wear or something, may african migrants continue to wear their vibrant print clothes with vibrant elaborate head scarfs almost daily.

confidence is the name of the game.

I’m not too familiar with Canada so it could probably be just me finding it weird lol. I just thought Jasmine would know better after her big Kanneda dreams.

the gold thing is so unsafe. I guess people wish to show off their status or whatever but that just makes you a target, no matter the country

I don’t think it’s about being ashamed of wearing our Indian clothing. There’s a difference between wearing a simple salwar or ethnic suit vs. being decked out in jewellery and heavy clothing as if you’re attending a wedding for daily activities
