Nothing different than Bollywood or ITV.

Out of curiosity I watched a few episodes of a show where a girl impersonates herself as a crown prince. The lady is super delicate and there's no way she looks like a boy/man, still everyone believes her to be a prince!

Just like Anushka never recognizes her husband in Rab Ne...

Then you haven't watched a lot of k dramas.. Unfortunately the kdramas that are rom coms gain more global attention despite not doing well even in their home country

Try dramas like kill me heal me, secret forest, 49 days, Beyond Evil, Mr Sunshine, The world of the married, Goblin, I can hear your voice, Rooftop Prince

The good thing about Kdramas is there is something for everyone, if you are not into rom com then there are other genres as well...

Like IMO Crash landing on you is one of the most average kdramas I have ever seen.. I fail to understand how on earth people are so crazy over that ..

I think majority of them are mediocre both in terms of scripts and the execution. Crash Landing On You is no exception, but it does have its merits - e.g., a lot of Korean viewers said it is well researched as regards the details of everyday life in NK + poking fun goes both ways + some of the scenes are really well written + the casting was good and each character is memorable.

king's affection is one of the worst period k-dramas i have watched in my life. i am sad if it was among the first few dramas you watched.

Yes very much.

Biggest surprise of 2021 was my mother ditching Indian serials and watching K drama.

She said it's much cleaner and better and faster paced.

She liked hometown cha cha cha a lot so I am planning to start watching K drama now !

I look upto kdrakas for romance and I find their acting better than Bollywood n tellywood. Also the fact that most shows are around 16 episodes, makes them stick to the story with no unnecessary negativity . Some of my favourites Netflix recommendation

Coffee Prince: for its very raw romance n lovely setup

Reply series: childhood friends, coming of age romance, happy families . Reply 1988 is my favourite from series.

Goblin: Gripping tale of lost n found love

Because this is my first life: contract marriage romance

W -2 worlds: amazing fantasy romance in real world n another world. First 7-8 episodes were the best in series.

Weightlifting Fairy/Strong Girl Bong Soon/ put your head on my shoulder : happy fluffy romance

Princess hours(Goong) :forced marriage n subsequent tug war of love

Some of them are, I prefer their thrillers and crime dramas. The one that I liked and did not skip or FF are these

- Tunnel

- Defendant

- Kingdom both the seasons, one of the best series I have watched. Waiting for 3 season

- Scarlet Heart

- Two weeks

- Lawless Lawyer

- The healer

-

There are few more but can not remember. Their Rom Com are not that great and for me the biggest drawback are female actors. The actresses are not that great to watch I like very few.
