Post lockdown RS had the spin off to deal with. It never got those expected numbers from day 1..same reason the story never had a very good foundation. Kind of cliche. His team was working on a popular bengali remake ie Anupama. RS was more interested in the replacement. Eventually the show became a huge hit. However post March, after the lock down the writing of YRKKH went down the drain. I saw Kundraji 's track. The writers were just adding masala. DPK lost the entire plot with Sirat. I still maintain that the old team is 101 times better than this current ensemble.

He also launched Maan ki awaaz Pratigya. RS goofed up like crazy there. It was JV with his ex wife. Spin off fans trolled him liked crazy.

The channel wanted to pull the plug and the rest is history.

Well RS has not taken a break. In Jan 2022, DPK is coming up with something big.

I don't know whether he loves his shows or the slots.

@green: Well, I wouldn't blame him for trying the remakes after all "Tis the season of remakes Fa la la la la la la"😉 I have already said that it was OK for the PH to move in that direction but still, They could have chosen a show with less toxicity. Or they could have replaced with a new show in the same slot and not call it YRKKH. According to your reply, he was planning on that itself, but I am sure the channels were much more reluctant.

@red: I don't know if it is my place to comment as I have not watched both the seasons of that show, but that channel(Star Bharat) really do have a long list of serial which became easily discontinued. I wonder what the reason might be. Except (maybe) Radhakrishn, I don't think there were much serials in that channel that lasted for more than a year. So the writers were desperetly trying to spice up things as a last resort to increase the TRPs of show and (maybe even) channel.

@blue: Again, I wouldn't blame them though. I have seen many nice shows that were axed off due to low TRPs which was a result of their slots. But they could give atleast some more equal treatment with the projects they had.

I know these points are really not much good.. But I was just thinking about it that way.

Iche nodi could be done with krishna n akshu

In iche nodi elder one was evil and younger one was positive .

They could have shown that naira died while saving akshu and this makes krishna hates akshu coz she lost her didi / mother coz of her. Whereas Goenkas would have definitely neglected her since she was adopted and loved akshu more as she is there own daughter . Kairav n other kids would have been friendly with her like they are with Arohi

Only thing is that male lead would be of kairav / krishna age and way elder than akshu ..

But now also it's the same.

Yes, I would say that execution is bad and more importantly so sloppy. I am sure that the increase in tweets today is mostly by HC fans. Many people were interested in this show because of HC. But My problem is even before HC, the writing looked directionless from my research. Most importantly the infamous 3 month leap

I was just curious about the genre shift.. you know from family type to romance type.. And I am not hooked.

Yes, Both the leads left the show.. but you could still give the audience more than 2-3 episodes to understand what's going on and who are going to be torch bearers of the next gen. But nope!! they just fast forwarded this whole 3rd gen thing.

This could have been a new show, But because of the brand name of YRKKH they couldn't just stop it.. after all this is going for more than a decade.

And we can see the power of the brand names, all channels are focusing on that. (Balika vadhu 2, bade ache lagte hai 2, saath nibhana saathiya 2 sasural genda phool 2 and many more 2s)

But that aside, I really feel bad for all these people who are behind the scenes. They have to satisfy both the audience and the producers. It is easy to understand what the producers want, (No need to guess.. it is money) but to understand what the hell the TV audience want is so confusing. We all know, that ITV is mostly still dependent on the TV audience. and no one knows how the TRPs work..

so if we see from their POV

(Limited knowledge on what the audience wants)-> (Make audience happy somehow)-> (increase TRPs)->(GET MONEY )->(producers happy)->(Your job safe)

No matter how many people come for or against in the online platforms,it is not much use. As the online audience involvement is not bringing them any monetary benefit, it is just their decision to continue the safe route(which is tried and tested way to increase TRP) or take a risk and concentrate on giving a story.

Main problem with ITV is the quantity over quality format which started around early 2000s (thanks to the legendary Padma sri Ekta Kapoor)

In other countries like US UK and Korea, China, Japan and many more, The shows have crisp writing and the execution is also so damn good becuase the focus there is on quality over quantity. the episodes in a season is max 20-30 episodes. Here we have 5 episodes for one festival arc. Yes, even in those countries they have show which just works on certain formulae. India is not short of creative talent either, One look at our OTT platforms content can make anyone feel proud. OTT platforms gives opportunity for the writers and directors to shine. Be it mirzapur or family man or any other show the focus there is quality content. and there online engagement is actually giving them a monetary value also.

I have seen many shows which start off refreshingly with a new concept but only to fall in the swamp of cliches. And they even forget the original plot the show was focused on. All because of the competitiveness of the TRPs and they are so vague and unpredictable that it is always gamble for the producers.

Here also the gamble is HC and love triangle. Love triangle are always a safe bet. the more hollow the love triangle, more safe it is to continue. If all the characters were more 3 dimensional and it was difficult to understand who to side with whom then the TRPs decrease. Maybe that is why they are doing this... and for some reason toxicity is selling like hot cakes now.. so why not try even that..

Yes, that is what I am saying!!! If they wanted the Ichchee Node thing, then there was this krishna.. But they just left her and pretended that she did not exist..(According to what I read in this forum) Maybe Naira could die because of childbirth.. then krishna could hate akshu like anything.. I guess... But they went with Sirat route..And that conveniently placed 3 months leap. Garnering many online hate on their way

It is like they saw an easy route and difficult route and then decided to take a leaf out of Robert Frost's book.

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

And that has made all the difference."

I really want to know why the leap was 3 months... As I said in my post 3 months and then Sirat Karthik marriage and the Arohi birth all seems way too nicely timed.. making me think did RS really plan this.

Definitely , but it was left open ended and was never concluded in the show that krishna is there first born .

And if they would have proven that , krishna would be real sis of akshu to ye sautela wala track kaha se atta?

Krishna's story had lot of potential , idk why makers didn't explore that area and nobody even talks about her

Even during naira's death .. kartik was taking care of his dono bachhe . He forgot he has one third child also !!

They never talked to sirat about krishna . Krishna was also sirat's step daughter. And now also I doubt akshu n Arohi knows about krishna .

Maybe someday we will see her like we saw teenager Chikki for 20 episodes .
