Abhimanyu Birla : The man in love - Page 3

Very aptly explained and gives us another dimension in understanding his personality and character traits.

I have used the word delusional a few times only because the editing and direction sometimes gives me that feeling. But upon reflection of late I now identify it with how emotional Abhi really is. Professionally Dr. Abhimanyu Birla is sorted but personally his life is a bit of a mess. This is the first time he is in love and well he's fumbling his way around.

I too have used delusional to describe him after the latest episode, but after going back to older episodes and seeing this one again, I looked at him with a better perspective. This man has never been in an environment that we know of that had a loving and understanding couple, nor did they have any good communication skills. Wether we like it or not, our environment effect a great deal on how we as a person deal with things wether we knowingly or unknowingly do things it’s because of what we’ve been through/seen and are use to. He knowingly refused unknowingly has adopted those horrible communication skills from his family memebers and environment. We all want Abhi to be this or that and handle everything that comes his way with maturity like he does with his professional life, but we all I guess forgot at some point or another that this is his first love and he’s bound to act out of character because it’s all new territory for him. We’ve all got flaws, so how can we expect him to be flawless. This is Abhi’s flaw and we will see him grow.

Note to makers. You’ve got a great character and an outstanding actor portraying it, please don’t mess it up and give Abhi his much needed growth and evolvement that’s needed when it comes love.

By the way, your names Grace right, I saw you comment on one of Mush’s post. I live north of the border from you and I too don’t know Hindi. I’m a Srilankan born Canadian and the only languages I know are English, Tamil ( to speak and read only) and a bit of French. But when I watched ipkknd (my first and only ITV show up until now) I’ve started picking up the language. I’ve always loved Bollywood movies and music, ( the 90’s movies were might favourites, they had great music too at that time). By the way I’m Sam. Hope to see more posts from you.

I whole heartedly agree with your note to the makers. They have a fantastic actor on board to play Abhimanyu. Please do not ruin the character.

I dont even need to say anything, you have written it all. I like his character because it isnt perfect. Yes he is very sanskari too and a good human being but he has flaws like you have mentioned above.

The first thing I gathered from abhi was how he loves his mother. He doesnt just love her, he is her shield and her best friend. It seems the only love he has experienced so far is that of mother and son. So upon seeing Akshara (or hearing Akshara), I feel he found a change. It added a new dimension to his life and because it is so new, he is very excited and in this excitement he is rushing things. When we start a new job, we often make mistakes because we are new to it all. The reason he doesnt understand why Akshara would deny him is not because of obsession but because he knows she likes him back, that's one of their connections and the makers have confirmed this.

On the contrary, what if Akshara is not his first love? I have my doubts only because Neil said yesterday to Harsh: "Do we want to make the same mistake as last time?"- Now they may as well be talking about the tilak fiasco but what if they were talking about something in the past? This may explain why Harsh is extra doubtful of Akshara.

And I feel it's also because of the fear.... And that fear is huge... And as many found him controlling then u know, like, what he knew of Akshara was her priorities are her family and Aarohi ka alag se ek jagah hai. Nd since he was confident about that they love each other especially he loves her, he took the rishta to her house and asked the elders to ask her opinions. So was not that considerate of him to do? To not put her in a position to choose between her family and him? The goenkas are still very much orthodox.

Nd then we have seen she denied only when she thought he was being nice with her bcoz of Aarohi before she was all smiling and being shy and then she did not sai she don't love him... She just kept quiet and he understood it was bcoz of families pressure. And today, we saw how it was Akshara dream confession and not Abhimanyu's nd most of the time, we are able to feel what the other feels. But yes, we sometimes mistake it and even when one is in love they have the right to say no and she said no. He understood it when she finally makes it clear to him. Even asked Neil to drop her home bcoz since he brought her, it was his responsibility to drop her back safely. He did not forget it. She denied and he did not push any further. Respected bhee consent and then we saw, how he knew she lied... He knew what she did was for her family, not because she wanted to and how she did not thought about him but still respected her no and he even raised his voice on Neil for the very same no. The respect that guy have for her is unparalleled. Like yes, he was dreaming about her but it was his first time feeling those feelings... I remember the first time my best frnd thought she likes a guy, that idiot talked about him and him only... God i was so irritated ... Aaj bhi yaad karti hun toh ho jati hu. Par for her, it was like she was on cloud nine... It was new... Being a topper, she thought this will never happen to her but when it happened, she was a goner but reality hits all hard but let's not go there. So jab mera dimaag shaant hota hai then only I can understand Abhimanyu Birla varna hun sab ussi ki tarah hai... Except u ... I have always found u this calm and enjoying the show but yeah atleast me, is like him... Jaldbaazi karte hai... 🤣

This is nice way to see ... Agar aisa hua toh mazza aayega but they have already shown him his first love... They have given hints of how he never believed in love, did not give bhaav to any girl, nd during his realisation that he is in love. So sapna choor ho hi jaana hai.

Nah even if he did have someone before, I dont think it was love.

But if you fall in love with someone else then the second love is more true because if you loved the first one, you wouldnt fall in love with the second one. So either way, Akshara is his true love.

They have made Harshad like sweet and salty popcorn. He stares at Akshara which can be creepy but then he makes sure she is safe so people get confused as to what he actually is. They should explore his character and add more layers, I feel the Birlas can be a great treat to watch if the makers chose to explore them properly. They all have interesting shades. Espeically Abhi and Manjri.

I liked how he took responsibility for Akshara even after the heartbreak. Kitna dutiful hain na

But I did not like how he ignored Neil in the precap. Neil is being chunilal giving such a wonderful advice yaar, but this Abhi is on devdas mode
