I'll say about the phase we are in now. Rishi Roy was a bit more elder and calm person. Meet Ahlawat is young, fun and very impulsive and extreme when it comes to emotions. Rishi used to be much more meaner with Bokul while Ahlawat bursts out only when triggered and he didn't have such strong emotions for her prior to their marriage, but Ahlawat had strong feelings for Meet prior to wedding that he went to meet her on the day of his wedding and almost broke down after breaking up the association with her. Rishi absolutely loathed how Bokul looked but Ahlawat never had an issue with how Meet looked, in fact there are instances where Rishi was disgusted at the same time Ahlawat asked Meet to not give up her identity for anyone.

So these are fundamental changes between both the characters because both of them have different character sketches, however Rishi went onto become the best husband one could ever ask for from being the grumpiest and meanest person. Major changes come from the fact that in Meet, both the leads had a solid emotional connection before marriage which triggered their care for each other post marriage no matter in what terms they are in.
