Parikshit is in the temple, meets Harkubai who wants to know what's special? Parikshit is about to say something but refrains and takes leave.
Renu is waiting outside the Devi's temple. She hears a horse rider coming and hides behind the trees. Parikshit gets down from the horse and asks Renu why is she hiding. She comes out but her saree is stuck in the thorns. Parikshit goes to help her.
The pandits come there and see them together, start accusing Renu of misconduct and promiscuity.
Ahilya comes to the temple and shares with Harkubai that she's feeling uneasy. Harkubai tells her to go to the Devi's temple.
Ahilya reaches there and stops the crowd from hurting Renu. She tells them to meet in the court. Everyone opposes saying this is illegal and against their rituals, culture. Ahilya tells them the court will decide.
Yamoonabai is enjoying the scene from behind the tree.
