tejang is gaining popularity but it needs a lot of time to match fatejo fandom.

also, if fatejo go their own way, the show loses a lot of drama.

Part of fatejo fandom has turned to tejo fans demanding new guy for her after EMA The fandom is divided now and makers are testing the waters with tejang first. If it doesn't work then will be fatejo.
