Anuradha Paudwal sounds good only in bhajans and while chanting mantras. I appreciate her perfect diction and rendition of Sanskrit mantras. But I do not like her film songs. Her voice grates on ears especially when she sings at high pitch. And sounds good in sad songs or slow songs but I do not think she sounds good in peppy or fast numbers. She also sounds rather mature and older, often older than the actor herself. For eg, I feel her voice did not suit Anu Aggarwal in Aashiqui and she sounded too old for her. Paudwal also sounds better in Indian style tunes but falls flat in western style songs and tunes. I feel she lacks the range and control over voice like say, Alka Yagnik had.
