The Karkhana kand is over.......what an overwhelming and emotional rollercoaster it was!!! đđđ
Bapuji........baa's words have reduced him to a broken shell of a man.đđđ Having watched Anupamaa's story from the beginning, I often questioned Bapuji's passive support to Anu, when he could have been more fierce in his stance. Baa's outburst at the Karkhana however, entirely justified his silence for all those years, which was needed to maintain peace in the house.
Shah house suffered collateral damage under the reign of Leela, her ladla and now her pota. Leela is the embodiment of a typical narcissist. She is an example of how one person can single handedly cause destruction...it is her sense of entitlement which she had carefully nurtured and passed on to her son....Bapuji and Anu were mere pawns who were in good books as long as they remained silent. In reality, their silence were two of the strongest pillars of the Shah house which helped and Baa and Vanraj could create a facade of a happy family for the entire world to see. The first pillar crumbled when Anu broke free of her toxic marriage. Bapuji knew that if Anu left, it would mark the start of domino effect of destruction of his house, aided by Baa's able new bahurani. Narcissists thrive on control on they excercise on their victims, blaming and shaming them for everything going wrong and certainly went back to their old ways with Anu. When Bapuji could not bear Anu's extreme humiliation at their hands he helped her break the shackles of her ghosla, and fly away. He knew that the house had become a makaan and was no longer a home...Leela's kand at the kharkhana was the final push to the hammer that broke Bapuji's pillar of silence as well and the house will now only move towards destruction....
Gaslighting, blaming and shaming victims for the mistakes that they themselves commit, is the core nature of narcissists....but the only thing they fear is that their victim slips away from their clutches.... Seeing Baa swing in her Jhoola today made me think that she is losing control over herself....the entire scene had such a creepy and spooky vibe to it â ď¸â ď¸....gave me horror story feels with the creaking jhoola and the house devoid of light and the lamp lit in front of the deity flickering away.....the Shah house is totally doomed.....
He wasn't silent because he wanted to maintain peace? he himself admitted infront of everyone that he was silent because of the sacrifices and pain leela underwent because of his financial shortcoming in case you missed that. I have no sympathy towards him for whatever was directed at him, he is as selfish as Baa if you ask me.
Do narcissists sleep hungry, live on just two saaris for 2 plus years without complaining about it for 30 plus years? I don't think so! Do narcissitst's get to work at an early age of 14 years to support their family because the father of the house is incapable of doing that, fulfill the responsibility of a breadwinner which should have originally been fulfiled by the original head of the house? taken the responsibility of their sibling's education and other expenses? This was supposed to be Bapuji's responsibility which was forced down on Vanraj and his wife, and you call them narcissists, why exactly?
Take a look at the other side of the coin as well instead of making them the complete villains here. You say Bapuji was reduced to broken shell of a man because of what baa said, what did she say so wrong exactly? He was the one who started with this Tera mera business first so he will obviously get a reply in the same manner, if he couldn't deal with the reality leela brought before him then he should have just shut up, all these years he kept quite and let her have a free reign because he knew he was useless money wise then he should have just shut up till the end.
And yeah Money is important, very important! Love doesn't feed you money does.
