It's funny, Akshu's character is one of those typically saccharine tyaag-ki-devi types I usually hate, but Pranali has this way of making me care for her and want to wrap her up in a big hug I still cannot believe that I, of all people, am watching the world's most troll-worthy show but HC and Pranali have found a way to keep me engaged, even peripherally at this stage. Abhi's family is all kinds of a hot mess One brother is married to a career woman of his "barabari" and is unhappy and constantly undermining her, and the other is married to a woman he considers "beneath him" and is unhappy and constantly undermining her then there's the son who is basically a stay-at-home-nothing who cribs about his wife's passion for her career, and then the sautela kid who I still don't understand what his deal is. And not forgetting the INSANELY prophetic dynamic of Mahima and Manjiri, two sisters who are meant to symbolise and parallel Arohi and Akshu, except that Manjiri would quite clearly adore Akshu under ordinary circumstances but she is desperate for her husband's approval, and therefore is pushing her "doctor bahu" nonsense, and may even resent Akshu at a later stage even if she's the one Abhi clearly loves, just because it sours her own relationship with her loser husband. And Mahima, who is clearly the smartest person in this family at this point is using this MU for mischief basically, and to secure her own elevated position in the family, above her sister, because she thinks Akshu will be more malleable and manipulatable than Arohi. And when her own husband dismisses her achievements a as a doctor (sorry, surgeon ), she passes on that dismissive behaviour to her own sister.

What a weird and complicated family this is if this wasn't ITV I'd say this was a really interesting dynamic to be explored during the course of the show, but I don't expect them to give it any nuance. What I do think is that Akshu will eventually marry Abhi, and Arohi will marry Neil just to get close to Abhi and to hurt Akshu (poor her and poor Neil), and Mahima will take full advantage of this dynamic.

I really hope Akshu gets to a point soon where she learns to stand up for herself. I said upthread she makes me care for her, but not when she's doing her annoying Aruu-jaap then, I just want to shake some sense into her

what I don’t understand is how has Arohi turned out like this. It makes no sense to me. Like same father. Same upbringing. It’s so confusing. But guess they needed it and bought it about. I am really surprised Kairav hasn’t sorted her out. She really needs a good shakedown. Happy to do it

I know what you mean about Pranali she brings out this relatable vulnerability especially with her aniexty attacks. There is something just normal about her (although the sacrificing part not so much). I like the way they modernised her and the show. Like the Kanha song akshara sang that with a veena or sitar (sorry not good with knowing the difference) and so did Naira but I like that Akshu is whipping her guitar out and making it relatable.

THAnk you for clarifying then family situation I didn’t understand. The step son who is that? Did they ever explain that? Because if this goes the OG way then he marries Aru right? who’s son is he? Akshu and Abhi are end game and they will get married. Aru will pretend to be ok or be forced to marry Neil or something like that. But I agree with your earlier post Abhi knows what he wants and he will have that. He won’t marry Aru just because Akshara might say no (for a while). He has seen the messed up marriages in his family so I think he will know better. Just hope his mum doesn’t emotionally blackmail him because she’s the only one who can.

For some reason I can see post wedding go along the lines of the other show YRHPK where both sisters got married in the same house. And one hated the other. But who know just show abhi and Akshu I will block the rest out. naagin taught me that ignore the moon. Ignore the weird centipedes. Focus on your babies 😆

as for Akshu standing up for herself. It took Anu about 400 episodes to leave the toxic family so not long for Akshu 🤣 but that is something Abhi will help her with
