Bollywood unfair to Mallika Sherawat

What’s your take on the below video?

I think back then, no one took Mallika seriously because of the kind of films she did. She had herself admitted in those days that she has a very average face and would have no way made it otherwise.

Also, given her past that she comes from a very orthodox family in Haryana. Also disowned by her family for coming into movies - she comes across as a person who stood up for what she believe in was right. It takes immense courage to do that - she had even broken off a marriage in those days (that too, coming from a traditional orthodox family) - she spoke her mind without demeaning her family or ex in public.

Had she made the statement today about women today, would things have taken a different turn?

I think most BW celebs who shunned her or made not so good remarks about her wanted her gone, they either didn’t like what she was doing or her.

Also , I think she was fabulous in movie like welcome too.

It seems like Reema Lamba paid someone to make this video for her.

Full of factual errors.

And then she brings in the "outsider" angle. Honey please. If any star kid behaved and trash talked about India the way Mallika did they would be trolled, and much harder too.

Mallika deserves all of the negativity she gets, she earned every ounce of it.

I don’t think the video is paid.. don’t see any reason why she would pay someone with such less subscribers anyways.

People forget where she is coming from, she just said what she felt and experienced;

Yeah all that is not true. She may have not been considered a "serious" actress but she was all the range after Murder. Everybody talked about her, everybody wanted her.

However, she was difficult to work with and supposedly either charged a lot or rejected a lot of good projects.

Bollywood wasn't unfair, she just made poor choices for herself. Beautiful thou and I do enjoy watching her interviews.
