If Malini is so chilled with Adi going off on patrakar business, why was she such a wreck when he went off to PD to find Imlie when M had moved into the T house? She was obviously used to him not being in contact - proof to me that even then she was a big liar just wanting to get lots of special attention.

The trouble is, with the T's doing so little to call her out, she just boldly gets away with it as they are so weak.
