Hi everyone!
While watching the show, I feel some scenes have so much potential but the makers don’t utilise it.
I have made an attempt on “what could have been”…
Please do leave your feedback as I am new to writing and this forum; would love to improve
Enjoy!!😊
The Gift
Shiva was having a tough time, every night he used to stay up and think about the mess his life has become. He was unable to get Raavi out of his head and Disha was continuously bugging him to get into his heart. He was angry with his mother too but he realised the only person with whom he is comfortable to share his emotions was someone he was unable to talk to.
The bhoomi poojan for the new store went well; both of them danced their hearts out. Still, Shiva felt he needed to talk to her about the bike incident.
Raavi, on the other hand was happy with the happenings of the day, yet something was missing in her heart. She was thinking about how Suman kaki has disrespected her today, in fact at every step of the way. She decided that she will talk to Dhara di about it tomorrow.
She was about to lie down on the bed when she heard a knock on the door. She immediately went to open it.
“Shiva, what are you doing here at this time?” She whispered and pulled him inside the room.
“Isn’t it obvious, gadhedi, I want to talk to you.” He responded.
Raavi was surprised. She was excited yet felt a little bit of restlessness after seeing him at this time of the night.
“Tell me, what is it that cannot wait till morning”
Shiva wanted to apologise on behalf of his mother but he was nervous about it; so he did the next best thing.
“I was worried about you so thought of checking on you” Shiva said in one go.
Raavi was surprised to hear it. “Shiva is worried about me. This is something new.” She thought to herself.
“Actually, tomorrow it is Diwali, so I bought gifts for everyone. I got something for you too.” Saying this, he passed her a small velvet box.
Raavi opened it and was stunned seeing a beautiful pair of jhumkis for her. Shiva was nervous and Raavi could sense it.
“This is gorgeous, Shiva. I didn’t know you have such good taste.” Raavi couldn’t control her smile. Seeing her like this, Shiva’s eyes twinkled.
“You want to try it?” He asked.
“I will wear it tomorrow.”
“Okay. I think it is pretty late, I will go and get some sleep.” Shiva said this and was about to leave the room when Raavi stopped him.
“Shiva, thank you for this. I just wish from next time, you don’t have to compensate for your lack of support for me by giving me a gift.” Raavi felt relaxed after telling Shiva what she felt. She needed to let it out.
Shiva knew Raavi was not wrong and he regretted every time his mother disrespected her.
“I am sorry. Actually, I bought this gift for you a few months back when we were at haveli; didn’t find the right time to give it to you. I wish I could go back to those days when you and I were…” Shiva couldn’t complete what he wanted to say and Raavi stopped him.
“I don’t want to go back to those days where we used to hate each other. Though, I wish I could change a few things.” Shiva was just looking at her and was speechless at how this selfless girl has always been there for him and his family.
“I don’t want to change a bit of what we had; I don’t regret even a single moment when we were together, Raavi.” With that, he left the room and a very confused Raavi.
