I think P makes him a happier, more content person. She brought happiness into his life. And maybe in turn that helped him be more relaxed because he was happy. She even heals him because he feels more complete and at ease when she's around. But she couldn't change his personality or his insecurities so she can't really change how he's going to react to everything.
Writers never tackled the crux of the issue and that's why I didn't like how they handled the smuggling track and the drinking track. Everything was surface level - P never wondered why he did those things.
This was my gripe with the way the sudharna track was handled. I felt that true change can only come from within yourself when you address the problem and not the symptoms, so until Raghav proactively does something to resolve his issues, they will keep coming up. This is why we see the repetition in his behavior and reactions. The writers tidied it up through her recent dialogues about a person's true nature never really changing and then with the conversation with LWR.
This track is about both of them introspecting and resolving to change from within. Pallavi's been hurt by other people before because she have them chances and didn't prioritize her own happiness. Even Amruta talked to her about this in the Mandaar track. Now she has realized this about herself and resolved to do something about it so the real change in her will come too.
