Ahilya sees Khanderao sitting in a corner, she thinks he's drunk and starts scolding him and cries. Harkubai comes there with malam-patti for Khanderao and tells Ahilya what had happened.
Khanderao hurts himself in trying to stop the urge for drinking. Harkubai helps him. Khanderao tells her he will keep his promise.
Ahilya tends Khanderao's wound and hugs him, cries.
Harkubai and Ahilya help Khanderao to his room and make him sleep.
Next morning Parikshit has asked the pujari to keep a havan/puja for Khanderao. Malharrao asks why. Parikshit tells that he wants to see Khanderao as the senapati, he is worth of it. Malharrao says that he needs to discipline himself and focus on his work. He appreciates Parikshit's efforts.
Renu and Parikshit chat about some upcoming event/festival.
