'Wyrd Sister' GOF lawsuit dismissed

The $40 million lawsuit filed against Warner Bros. by a small Winnipeg band called The Wyrd Sisters, which also aimed to bar distribution of GOF in Canada, has been dismissed by a judge on the Ontario Superior Court. Though the band claimed the inclusion of the fictional one in the film adaptation of the book would forever taint their reputation, the name "The Weird Sisters" never even appears in the movie.
