I'm pretty sure they meant the guilt of leaving the house, staying away from her children (only Pakhi at this point) and Bapuji

The kumkum and the widening circle created a dramatization feel of the scene. Imagine people on the road seeing her with that lost look as she walks towards the bench. Must have wondered what was happening..

imagine her saying that and moving ahead but she'd have to awkwardly back track into her room to pack her stuff 😆

Couldn’t they find a hindi equivalent of the word guilt or was it used to cater to the newly joined younger audience?

perhaps pachtava didnt have a good ring to it but after Anu’s swabhimaan, shraddha kinda bhaari words guilt didn’t sit right and this is Anu- her English is a bit slow? her words not mine.

I’m not saying she doesn't use random words here and there but whetever.

Pachtava would be wrong word here, that means regret. As in the muhavra, "ab pachtaye hot kya jab chidiya chug gai khet". Guilt ka direct hindi translation would be ग्लानि (glani) which i think would be difficult for younger or non-hindi speaking audiences to comprehend that easily or their software to translate for subtitles, though I don't know if creative team even thinks of that when writing dialogues
