Rani is a brilliant actor, Ash is pretty but comparing her to a legend like Madhubala is stupid. Ash could have developed her acting skills , some scenes in Jodha Akbar , Taal or Him dil de chuke Sanam she was good but that's it.

Rani should have done more outside yrf , she did get offers and she chose not to do, she had chemistry with all her co actors

Rani does a lot …a lotttt of yrf dharma stuff which pretty much puts her in either “crying heroine” or “bubbly heroine” category 90% of the time…mardaani is an exception

Ash plays “the unattainable enigmatic ice queen beauty” in 90% of her roles …the ones where she is not that, we get turkeys like sarabjit and jazba

Only tabu is reaping the benefits of slow and steady wins the race …she wasn’t the most popular in her time …hence she had no option but to choose differently from the regular heroine roles …and she expanded her skill set so much that she’s still relevant and today’s generation of filmmakers treat her roles with so much respect …rohit shetty to luv ranjan to sriram raghavan….

Despite playing a wide variety of roles, I too always felt Ash plays the "ice maiden beauty queen". Whether she's doing a period flick or a contemporary cinema, she has that same icy expression on her face, and the filmmakers use her beauty to create an aura around her (like the cinematographers capture her with the most aesthetic expression on her face). HDDCS was the only exception where I thought she managed to do the bubbly/lighthearted parts well.

Rani, despite not doing as many versatile roles, actually seem a lot more versatile in terms of pure talent. She can do both the bubbly/lighthearted/comedic moments as well as the serious/tragic/histrionic acting.

Tabu is probably the best actress working today (and I do think her work in Maqbool and Haider are 2 of the best performances in the whole of Bollywood). However, I don't find her terribly versatile either. She has great command over subtle and negative roles, or else can be flat out bad (like hated her performance in Drishyam). I can't imagine her doing bubbly/glam roles like BnB, Jab We Met or Poo or Dhoom 2 etc. She is suited more for serious cinema. (Though she has acted in comedy films, I haven't been overly impressed by them)

Kareena IMO is the most versatile actress who can switch between drama and comedy with ease.

I think she added Kajol there to make it seem less problematic 😆

Mugda's posts are pure gold 😆

I disagree I do think tabu can pull off comedy

I enjoyed her and Anil kapoors portions in biwi no 1. I’ve seen some Telugu movies of hers aswell where she had spot on comic timing and played the perfect glam heroine (ninne pelladtha, aavida maa avide…)

I do think she can pull of being glamorous too I think she’s very attractive even today

I'm not doubting it either but the fact remains that she has been only doing YRF projects for a while.

And mannequin is doing Tamil films which are not interesting 🤔

She will give an interview lying that she was the first choice of Bunty Aur Babli 2 just like she is the first choice of all movies in the world.
