I watched the precap and ended watching a few scenes. That character assassination was too much to watch. So ended up not watching. Watched Paritosh's scene. Who does he think he is to question his mother.

If Anupama had shown a slight attitude .. even 10% of what she did today .. the family would have treated her differently . The kids would have respected her more for respecting herself .

That's the core issue na suta, ladies forget their individuality while taking care of families. We see this in 1000s of families even today. 1000 is a miniscule number. It's a sad fact. No one is there to make them realize that they have their own self also to think about.

Yes. you are right. Even now thousands of women suffer like this. The show may slightly overdo the situation, but in reality it exists in different degree. The woman is able to stand up to such humuliations when they are earning enough and her earnings are important for running the family. Or she should have a rich background, where some financial requirements are fulfilled by parents. A middle class joint family without any job shuts the mouth of the DIL.

So true, financial dependence makes Women tolerate all nonsense. All women have to earn some kind of living . Even Anupama started protesting after she became financially capable . That’s a lesson learnt here . Women need not tolerate undesirable behaviour and move out .

Earning is one aspect and the second and most imp is them knowing that they are also worth. This is a major factor in Middle class and lower middle class families. Even now they are told that ur duty is to get married and take care of your husband and kids and so on. Your pehchan is through ur husband. This thought needs to be corrected. Your individuality is your pehchan. Again it's easy to talk but tough to bring this change in mass. Ek family bhi Agar embrace kare and allow their girls to work and grow, country will also grow.
