There is just not enough evidence to support its use in Covid 19 patients at present and there are a few patients who have presented to E.D with side effects post ingestion of same.

You first mentioned its horse dewormer and following your post some one said WhatsApp university and another poster used horse gif that's how misinformation spreads.

Don't wanna get in to conspiracy theories of why Ivermectin was banned. You mentioned you practice medicine in AU.. Whenever you get some free time try check this website(Its meta analysis of 64 studies):

A person is legally adult after the age of 18. No it's not parents job to protect any adult. You should have good judgement to decide your own well being. Desi parents should not interfere too much in their kids life.

Even if son is 50 year old and making mistakes.... parents has to give 2 thapad --use raaste pe laana hai ---Parents has to try till end👍🏼

Desi or Non desi--Bhakt or Non bhakt---parents responsibilty never ends😳 And if parents are only at fault then koi kuch nahi kar sakta😆

If the child has grown up and is financially stable, he or she may simply walk out. Nowdays most people do accept abuse and interference from anyone. Times has changed buddy.
