Is it necessary to kill off main leads

I was a big fan of the original show when Naitik-Akshara where the leads. Even today I rewatch thier episodes but later when I remember what tragic end the makers gave her character, I get sas thinking about it.

And now the same thing happened with Kartik-Naira.

I understand that leaps are bound to happen and actors do not want to age onscreen but why can't makers just hire older actors to play the same characters?

Why not give them a happy life and thier kids a happy family for once?

When they can change actors from childhood to adulthood, why not change them to show middle-age or seniority?

It's just sad that a once beloved character is brutally killed off and thier children almost always grow up as orphans

They did that with Naitik na..and it worked...its difficult to replace akshara as hina as akshara is as iconic as it can get...so they wouldn't do that ..still they left an open end not showing her body and all also weaved a solid plot around her accident...killing off naira was a plot requirement...killing of kartik and sirat was a bit too much according to me..atleast they could've brought another sirat given shivi was playing her only for 10 months

Yes replacing Hina was difficult but if they wanted they could have done it. When they can kill off Naira and show Seerat take her place in every way possible, they could have easily handled any backlash for replacing Hina.

Anyhow Akahara still has a longer role in her adult children's life whereas poor Kairav and Akshu lost thier parents in childhood only

To gain sympathy for the main characters and to justify their actions incase they go too offbase.

Did happen multiple times in Naira's track where they stated how since she grew up without her mom, she did not understand certain things. Here they have Akshu binded by an infinite promise to Arohi which would not hold if her parents were alive and healthy.

Not really, Hina Ma'am's fanbase is very strong in raising objections. They did so on yesterday's episode as well. Yes, Akshara was there longer for Naksh, but Naira ran away in her teens and then came back later so same thing as the girls here.

I was never a die hard fan of anyone so I can't understand how killing off a character is better than replacing the actor, that ways atleast the character lives on

I personally think it will work in other shows as it has been done multiple times there, but in some cases like this especially when it came to a character like Akshara, the PH would have not risked it. Bahut controversies already thi.
