Jammy pants ( the guy that reviewed Imlie) reviews the top show👍🏼
I liked Imlie review as well👍🏼
I am serious and pl feel agree to disagree😎
Surprisingly I agree & disagree (loved the no 1 show review BTW - it was sachi on point. I am so waiting for his review on the pados wali DD ka show - it was as a thumbnail in the background, so I have a feeling that one may be next - it deserves to be trolled worse than our show, so lets see how he reviews that one😆)
My issues with his review with Imlie was 2 fold - 1) He called Malini right in berating Imlie during the "sindoor kand" and called her character as mature and sensible till she was ruined by makers - that irked me like nothing else, coz honestly Malini was never a mature and sensible character, she was just sugary sweet when it in calling Imlie a baharwali and nuakrani just because Adi stood up to her - that was uncalled for if she was calling Imlie her sister just a few episodes back. 2) He refused to acknowledge the nuances and good parts of the show like the cinematography in the Dil Se sequence and the overall feel of the show. His entire focus was only on bashing the show, rather than look at it from an overall unbiased perspective. Even in our show there has been multiple scenarios that showed progressiveness and where the male lead has pushed the female lead to the forefront, or where the female lead has shown that she is very capable of living life on her own terms. There was not talk of character arcs, except to berate the overall concept - which is not alien to ITV or fiction in general.
While I did agree with one of his major gripes - that the women of the show do not choose to hold the males responsible for their actions (which BTW has changed in the last few episodes where Imlie has been making sure that Adi is held responsible for the careless action he took with respect to the video) I do agree that where in the truth reveal and in Malini's case, the culprit is Adi, but it was Imlie who was held responsible through no real fault of hers. But this is ITV - yahaan toh sabse zyada shoshan toh FL hi sahegi - so I still can come to terms with that, which may be a difficult pill for others to swallow. His pointers that the writing has become absurd and is pushing a lot of crap to justify the drama is also true - but I feel that the period when the video came out was bad enough, that his review that just added more fuel to the fire that was already raging through the warring fandoms.
