My guess:

Anu asking why you didn't marry to Anuj is to ensure he is not in any commitment or relationship which may be disturbed by her friendship with him. She has learnt her lessons now. She doesnt want to be accused of being the "other" woman.

And whatever poetic answer Anuj will give will kind of open her way to decide to leave the Shah house and take his help which am sure he will offer. Actually something like partners ko guest house or service apartment company provide karti hai kinds. So she can live there with pride.

One by one then people leaving shah house and joining her. Samar to aise hi chala jayega uske saath.

Shahs might try to emotionally blackmail that if Anu leaves Anuj will seek loan amt from them and disturb them...

Hopefully Anu will remain firm and find appropriate solution and leave for good.

But my question here is ki Anu ne thik hai ghar chhoda but wo rahegi kaha?

Will she go back to her mother? Or will rent somewhere? With Devika?

Option 2. Devika house because that will give her a in house cupid and shield.

Option 3. Anuj will give a pent house above or keep her in his house.
