To stop a show you don't actually need to ruin the ML. Then ruin the track. Probably ruin all the characters one by one. To stop a show, you can do just that... stop it. Bring a conclusion and say tata bye bye. No need to drag it till it breaks from the middle.
I feel incredibly bad for the actors and the crew when people start wanting the show to end getting fed up with all the intentional disasters the makers and writers keep doing.
By slaughtering one lead you ruin the entire progression of the love story you all had started to build. All the effort, the performance, the writing, the essence, the acting goes for a toss if the end product ends up like this.
Don't turn mhrw into yrkkh just for 'NUMBERS' Mr. Sick-and. Not everything depends on numbers. Sometimes quality content can surpass quantity by leaps and bounds.
What you have done to your ML which had started with such a healthy potential is just tragic. Now all, the viewers will remember of Raghav Rao, will be that he is cheating lying ba*tard. A Coward.
Essentially you killed him off.
Hail thy logic! And all my sincere condolences to a good show gone to the shredder.
I am feeling bad for Ketan. What a terrific actor given such a terrific role only to end up being terrible.
Though don't fret Ketan... for me Raghav Rao will be as he had been shown originally, as you have strived to make us feel him.. for him and with him.
Unapologetic, unabashed and unstoppable.
Anushkha I agree to disagree with you at many levels here.
Yes, the makers have taken a typical TRP track where the characters are compromised. But one thing I can vouch for is that this show is still better than so many in the ITV universe. The characters here according to me have not yet strayed from their basic personalities yet have made mistakes. We all do.
Stopping a show takes away livelihoods. Let's be a little sensitive here... Even known actors have succumbed to financial crunches and have taken desperate steps... it's not just sicku or leads involved... there are technicians, spots, editors, etc involved in the project too. So I really urge you, to don't ask for something like this. For you and me, it's a matter of entertainment, we will move to another show on another platforms but contractual workers will be in lurch. Even if it's inevitable, let it take it's own course.
I am sorry that's why I would never ask anyone to stop instead if I don't enjoy something, I'll move on. I have done that before. And when mehndi runs its course for me, I'll move on from this too. So far, it's not.
Besides, there are others who are watching it, connecting it and loving it. So let it be there for them. I understand your contentions and frustrations but let's not be inconsiderate to those who are attached to it. And it's their show, unko yrkkh hai banana hai toh banane do... We will not watch... may be someone else will... Their choice. No one asked me to watch it... No one is asking me to continue to watch it and no one will question if I stop!
If the actors are not happy, they will find a better project and leave. Other actors have done it too. But isnt it their patronizing show which has given them name, fame and love. So I am sure they will also cherish the good memories. And it's their job... I love them for what they are doing because they are commendable. But when i grow out of an organization I quit for better prospects... But definitely not will the organization to shut, right?
ITV is a game of numbers and profits. It's a competitive yet ruthless world. If you don't deliver, you cease to exist. It's about survival. That survival matters to those in the field. Do we not care about our jobs? Our performance appraisals? Our job securities? Television isn't a non profit business... It's a cut throat competitive business. And yahan jo bikta hai wohi dikhta hai!

Of course! I think you misunderstood me. I did say in my post that I wouldn't say to stop the show. I said that if you are ruining a track to stop a show don't do that. I never suggested that they stop. I just said I am sad that just for the sake of trp the actors have to suffer through this nonsense.
But I have to disagree with you on keeping the basic characteristic same. If that would have been true, Raghav would've told Pallavi the truth and Vijay wouldn't have undergone a sudden personality shift. As for competition goes, if changing the track was for competetive purposes it served quite the opposite cause I don't see any trp improvement since its commencement.

Anushkha Trps have suffered because of slot change too. It's a dead slot. No one watches a TV drama at 5:30 in the evening.
And if it's for TRPs then because that's important for their survival on the tube. No it's not just for the sake for trp... It's for the trps! TV functions like that and if you are a part of a system you would have to accomodate and understand that. Not justifying just being factual. Just like sicku said ki why don't you produce your own show... Channel would tell them why don't you start your own channel and show whatever you want.
Raghav has always been like this. He hid his and Pallavi's marriage premise from amma... He hid Mandar's accident truth from pallavi... He did the necklace chori matter from her and he also hid his business practice and Abhishek working for him fact from her. And all this was to save his family / marriage and not let any differences seep between him and Pallavi. So what has changed? He's always been like that who runs away from difficult conversations and confrontations.
That's exactly why I want Pallavi to call out on his consistent lies and fake promises. Because he always does that.
I am not even wanting to comment on VD .. because this has been done to Mansi, amruta, keerti before. But I am glad VD is toned, considering that Raghav has employed him and itna toh gratitude hona chahiye.

Whatever you think darling... infidelity though is not something I had hoped Raghav would hide. Knowing the fact that he probably didn't do it, but as it had been implied how he exposed Anjali I thought he wouldn't have lied just on this case.
Hiding about business dealings is fine (that's his business.. he doesn't need to say everything about it to his wife. But that's a different argument considering most stuff he used to do was illegal)... obviously he wouldn't have told Amma how he blackmailed his wife into accepting him.. Mandar's case mostly was to save Keerti from Pallavi (Knowing the dogged determination his wife had, to find the culprit and punish him/her... he knew he'll have to end up swinging btw wife & sister). I am not justifying him lying. He does have a nasty habit about the same yes... but every man has certain basic fundamentals which they don't cross... as they had set Raghav's premise I was certain betrayal in a relationship or infidelity was his... So I would think this as a clear case of inconsistency.
I understood about the consistent lies because he did that quite a lot but false promises? When did he give false promises? I'm sorry but I don't think I can remember anything of this sort.
About VD though, you might be right. Its tough to see him owe up to his own mistakes, so fast though, gratitude or not, if you know what I mean.... Considering how he behaved after knowing Mandaar's truth.
And as far as trp goes... I think its better then, to start a good for nothing plot from the getgo than beginning with something level headed only to ruin it at the end. Knowing how ITV is.. we have always seen the most irritating logic less shows running for so long. And also because Sickand had already experimented with another extremely good show before, on this channel itself, I thought he might have developed some sense by now.
Better to have created a finite episode story then...instead of ruining a quite good storyline.
PS: Can I know your name? Considering you are calling me by mine... 🤣
Raghav Rao is a brand. I am here because Raghav made me belive in a strong character and a greyish yet relatable ML.
I don't understand why some people does not want to understand him. He is confused because he is a human. Give him a little leverage for that atleast.
The ONS has ruined it and then the lying and covering up has totally messed it up. Yeah we get the whole he is scared of losing Pallavi but how many tracks and scenes have we been thru when she has said repeatedly that dont lie to me and she has proved she will be with him forever. To me he is just scared of losing her but nowhere do i see self regret. As in he feeling remorse for what he has done not because of cheating on Pallavi. It seems like its ok for him to have done it but because he is scared of losing pallavi he is feeling regret. Otherwise why would he hug esha and yeah i get that it was one hand but he still patted her back reassuring her and giving her hopes and meanwhile he pushed away Pallavi the same person he is scared of losing. So what are they trying to show?

Yes he did expose Anjali. But the premise in the intent. Anjali was ready to throw herself on him and yet, he have no clue how and what happened. I am not asking a free pass for him. But if you have noticed, since he hated infidelity... He has been loathing himself too. Again I am saying, he deserves whatever comes his way.

Why are these liesc aceptable when this hiding isn't? In all these cases he was trying to deceive her. And the fear always existed of losing people he love and most importantly her. Why a wife shouldn't know about her husband's dealings and business? The fact is dearie even then he was acting out of his insecurities and he's now also playing on the same track. He couldn't lose her then, he couldn't lose her now. I am not defending his moves just trying to understand his character.

Inner fears don't shift from situation to situation. Whenever the tide would raise to push him into loneliness, he's gonna take a flight mode. That's his default setting.
I understood about the consistent lies because he did that quite a lot but false promises? When did he give false promises? I'm sorry but I don't think I can remember anything of this sort.
Well he promised her about customs... He promised her he won't drink.
About VD though, you might be right. Its tough to see him owe up to his own mistakes, so fast though, gratitude or not, if you know what I mean.... Considering how he behaved after knowing Mandaar's truth.
D house is something I don't wrack my heads on.

Yes, he experimented. So he's trying to bring freshness but he's responsible for the entire team. So somewhere he'll have to adhere. He's into a business... He'll have to give into the demands of the channel.
Better to have created a finite episode story then...instead of ruining a quite good storyline.
If it was web show, he could and would have. But it was for TV. I have seen finite stories stretched beyond imagination.
PS: Can I know your name? Considering you are calling me by mine... 🤣
I am Sonia btw
See I draw parallels of this track with Mandar's. He made errors but he was violated and unfortunately he doesn't even know.
But for me Raghav is not butchered. He's very much in his character acting out if his insecurities all over again.
But let's leave this here and agree to disagree amicably.
More than Raghav i blame Isha for this.. he repeatedly asked her to not be in his way and Pallavi is his only present and future love... She is too thick skinned.. and yes Raghav didn't hugged her back in any romantic way... He should instead have pushed her
. Yes he should have instead he patted her back which was not called for. Then stood like that until sunny called out and then suddenly remembered who he was with and broke away so does that mean if sunny hadnt called out they would have stayed that way?Originally posted by: subbuappu
