Why did Shershaah gain more traction than Sardar Udham ?

What are your thoughts about these two movies and what were the plus and minus points of each ?

Who deserved more success:

Shershaah? Udham Singh ? Both equally ? None ?

Haven't seen either, but my parents loved Sardar Udham and they said it's the best movie of the year.

I have to catch both, maybe this weekend, then will be able to answer your question.

Shoojit Sircar is my favourite director, so am looking forward to Udham and Shershah got such excellent reviews that I have to watch it as well.

I don't even remember seeing Sardam Udham being promoted at all. I had no idea it was releasing.

please go watch it. it is genuinely so amazing i can't get it out of my head. no exxageration if this was made by an american it would go for multiple oscars

I'll add it to my watch list. But I should warn you that the list had turned kind of long

Lol sabse pehle isko dekho. Its not a great a Bollywood movie but one the best movies of the year in general, Hollywood included.

Bas trust the director and keep phone away. Immerse in the life of udham singh. Its almost the past live in front of you.

I watched both the movies and loved both of them. But Sardar needs a bit more patience and involvement as an audience, to be able to appreciate it- something like his previous venture October!

Both movies made me emotionally exhausted but there was a satisfaction about Shershah knowing that the Captain lived a happy life and in the end died leading India to victory. On the other hand Sardar left me angry, bruised, shaken agitated and what not because we as Indians are never able to get our closure about the Jalianwala Bagh Massacre.
