Ren, after I stalked you last time, I haven’t stepped into the MF at all. Criticism ke naam pe bohot zyaada negativity hain. I feel jitna negativity yahaan pe hai, actual show mein utna nahi hain. I’m honestly at this point okay with the track. Jo hai dekha jaayega. Definitely it has to reach or climb the crescendo for it to all to come crashing down. Maybe I might not enjoy all the scenes. Toh tik hain na, I won’t watch those particular ones, ya I’ll wait it out for the next scene. I don’t want them to wrap it up like how they did Mandaar’s track. Mandaar’s track was irritating but let them show what they want to show.

My only contention with SS and this team is that they go to extremes to showcase certain things ki as if aise explicitly nahi dikhaayenge toh audience ko samajh mein nahi aayega.

Tmai Liyah. Subtlety aur ITV ka dur dur tak koi connection nahi. I used to get irritated at them dumbing things down as if the viewers are incapable of using their brains or logic. I wonder, though, if it is because of the majority of the TRP audience, or the rural audience who might prefer more straightforward, detailed treatment of certain things.

Every track is still so much better than any other show that I’ve watched. If it was any other show, 100 separations and unnecessary misunderstandings would have taken place and we would be crying about that. At least if they are fighting here, then it’s for actual reasons and not made up causes or illusions. And I’m really grateful that we don’t have the saas bahu drama here.

THIS. When the show started, I was skeptical seeing Sulo's over the top planning and plotting but everything we've seen so far (including Mandar and Esha tracks) are better than whatever is going on in other shows IMO. Like you both, I was initially quite upset over how this track was introduced and the way it's been shaping up but I frankly don't feel bad watching the episodes or discussing them at this point.

See I don’t appreciate arrogance or meanness from anybody and I can never tolerate it. But think of what SS said. A show to survive on ITV needs drama esp such competitive channels like SP & Rang. Romance how much ever we like to see will not keep the show on ITV. I honestly cannot point out any show currently that is surviving on almost realistic potrayal and garnering good TRP. I have watched multiple shows of this guy, his productions and have enjoyed them simply because they were all relatable ( I’m not saying that he doesn’t go overboard with certain scenes - that is a cross we have to bear) , but the other cross is that such portrayals don’t last long here so either we have to face early shut shop or a little dramatic tracks to keep the show on longer.

As we said, this is for a different audience but still who is watching tv at 5:30 or 6:30, the same people who will be watching at 7 or 8 or 9. So this doesn’t appeal to them and trp doesn’t come. The superb leads and acting and story doesn’t hold it on there because TRP doesn’t come.
Now if the choice it to take it to OTT, this might have a better reach and we might also get GP like stiff here 😎🔥. Or else to stop and bring it back in seasons which I’m not sure SP permits or the production is interested. We can’t question that. It’ll depend also on the popularity, whether to bring it back.
I think if he'd articulated the same things politely, many fans would actually support him and the show. I now see a lot of the viewers giving up on the show not just because of the track but also because of ss's arrogant remarks. Garnering sympathy is also part of the PR but I guess he's somehow not bothered about it. His points were very valid (just wrongly expressed). This is a TRP race. Channel, network, sponsors, other stakeholders- no one gives two hoots to "oh this is a progressive story" and "oh they are doing an excellent job with the tracks and the acting and the execution" and so on. Nor do they care about all the millions of people watching something, emotionally investing on it and actually taking their time and effort to talk about, cry over or promote the show because it's business for them and they want their profits. "Fans' love" don't keep a show afloat, TRPs do. If this moved to OTT, it would surely make a hell of a difference but I've rarely seen that happen for leading ITV channels (Star did it only once before I believe, with Badtameez dil, and sony has done it twice as far as I can tell). Idek why creatives don't already think of OTT as their primary choice to launch shows like MHRW. With so many shows being launched on OTT and getting so much exposure and popularity around the world, it shouldn't be that hard to assume that these platforms have a HUGE audience base who are desperate for good content.

Renewing it for a new season, I wouldn't be too excited. I've only seen sony revive its' shows based on popular demand (and they didn't do a very good job afaik) Only shows that channels like star or rang deem renewing is SSK, SNS or KZK. MHRW won't even come close.

You can't view a show in isolation by a scene. You need to take into account the overall character the growth etc. Ek episode se you can't cancel Raghav when he's not at fault for the ultimate deed.This is not going to be understood. Jinko samajhna tha would already have understood bohot pehle or who can’t accept it would have made peace with it by now like all of us on this CC.

+1000 to both you and Ren here. People have been getting hyper over snippets shared on social media or just the precap without even knowing what happened in the whole episode. Aise toh Mandar track mein Pallavi ko bhi bash kar sakta hai koi bhi.

If I was so triggered I would have stopped watching. I went to watch the UD confrontation episodes because it was supposed to be good but what message are they showing now trying to white wash F. I loved silsila for being so realistic in this sense. It was shown well despite all the hate it garnered. ITV wasn't ready for a show like that at that time but UD is reaching new lows. I don't remember any Ekta show where a man deliberately cheating on his wife was whitewashed???

Both these shows had deliberate act of cheating and consistent as well. I think I felt really bad when Mauli and Kunal didn’t work out because I loved them both and their potrayal of marriage. She was quite forthcoming. Actually I couldn’t understand why Kunal betrayed Mauli or was attracted to Nandini 🤷🏻‍♀️. But that’s how the story went. Loved Aditi’s acting in the confrontation scene!!! But that separation made sense. And whatever it was that happened, though sad was good for the story.

I like DD's acting but the show was so hard to watch IMO. It didn't make sense why Kunal would cheat on Mauli and after a point I just quit.

UD, I don’t know what they are intending. A little bit of SS is their in the spirit of their writers as well. They have shown F too far gone and now to whitewash is going to be difficult but those who want them together may accept, I don’t know.
Drunken mistakes on EK have been forgiven but I don’t think any deliberate act has been whitewashed so far.

I think we have discussed this before, the eye lock scene was the turning point for most viewers. For me it was just an awkward eye lock. Nothing more than that. But for many, it was different. So the story changed for them. Raghav Pallavi changed at that point. For me it didn’t. So I don’t question anything there. I won’t let Raghav have a free pass because he made a mistake of drinking with her and putting himself in a vulnerable position. He should have been careful. But that won’t make me question his intentions.

Sorry I digressed there.

This is my understanding of the track and the show. I don’t know if it is agreeable to many. Forgive me if I have offended someone.

Lol I was SO mad at Raghav for that eye lock tbh, because the Raghav I know would not do it, but that's why, it's essential to watch/learn about the whole thing before reacting--because I did sit through the whole episode no matter how cringe, I can let it go looking at everything else he said to Esha or did. Raghav lost so many followers that day man, the edits I've seen online oh Lord😆

Since this isn't the AT we can talk about Silsila. Tbh there wasn't anh reason why he fell for nandini. I remember mauli ask this question and he didn't have an answer.

Also by then it really didn't matter. Life main people fall out of love and cheat in marriages, theres not a reason most of the times.

I liked that this show didn't justify the EMA. The characters had to listen to the shit thrown at them by the wife and didn't justify it. It was realistically handled where the wife was trying to see if a second chance could be give coz she was pregnant by then. But the guy loved Nandani and there was no reason to hold him back so they parted ways.

Btw I feel Nandani made him feel like a knight in shining armour. He was the dominant in that relationship where as with mauli she overpowered or was equal. I guess he wanted a different dynamic with his wife which mauli couldn't give. It's my reading bas. This show was so much better than UD coz it wasn't OTT or cringe, quite realistic

Yeah shivi's post aligns with your reading of her. Ofc it can be a random like but shivi has been quite consistent with the kind of posts she likes. Most of them being about a heartbreak in the past. The stay in love part for sure gives hope.
