I may be in the minority but I liked that fact that Shiva didn’t overreact when Disha kissed his cheek. It wasn’t an intimate kiss 😆 but it did make him feel special. It was a subtle and cute moment. I wouldn’t blame Shiva for basking in that moment. Her eyes held admiration that he hasn’t seen before.
Aside from the maternal figures in his life, Shiva was not shown to have much experience with women. A woman giving him attention, admitting to having a crush on him and looking at him like that is bound to affect him. This has nothing to do with his feelings for Raavi.
Shiva and Raavi are honestly not in a real relationship at this moment. And it’s not like he became intimate with Disha. It’s just a kiss in the cheek 😆
ShiVi fans may hate this, but the scene was cute! And Shiva did not object. Initially, I was a little wary since she kissed him suddenly and without permission but his reaction put me at ease. Even if they remain friends (I mean ShiVi are endgame), I truly believe Shiva deserves to feel special. Him and Raavi have a long way to go. He needs to be vocal about his feelings and she needs to respect him. The girl is still about skin color and so easily labeled Shiva as “traditional.” Not overlooking Shiva’s flaws, but I do believe he has every right to feel special and see other facets of relationship shared between couples. KD was very good with his changing expressions. I really enjoyed seeing Shiva react to Disha ❤️
You aren't in the minority, Esha; I am also sailing on the same boat.
I am going to again refer to the avoidant-attached partner style of human interactions.
Shiva burning in anger about Raavi and his friends wasn't dimensional jealousy but a strong reaction towards their words that demeaned him too. At that time, they had hoped for this marriage.
They both were acting like a married couple. Shiva fell for her madly and then went on a rage. He always believed Raavi never has a spark with him, and then the entire chain sequence finally leads to the end of their relationship. So, despite a subconscious hope, Shiva has given up on Shivi long back. He always believed - Raavi tho Tujhe Milne se Rahi.
Question to why isn't Shiva angry anymore. Shiva’s extreme reactions had always been reserved for Raavi. Generally, he is friendly to people and soft-spoken. His friends, too, are like him. Also, Shiva has mellowed down after the debacle. He is like that with Raavi too-extremely passive. It happens when you aren't in the proper state of mind.
I loved the Shiva-Disha conversation. He did warn her and quite frankly told her that he was the one wrong in his relationship. I have always said that Shiva has a habit of bottling up his internalised emotions and burst in the form of a volcano. He isn't very open with family members or Raavi.
He has no emotional attachment to Disha, but validation as a worthy human being made him part surprised and an incredible sense of peace. He could be liked too.
Trust me; I have been through a broken phase of love where a lost relationship had shattered my self-esteem like hell. You seemingly naturally get peace when someone validates, accepts you and makes you feel better during that phase.
Does that mean Shiva is in love? No, he is not and will never be because we know his world revolves around Raavi.
Also, commenting on how different is Shiva’s reaction to Raavi and men. It shows Shiva was more invested in his relationship than Raavi ever was!
I am removing the moral compass because they are technically married. I am slightly annoyed at Raavi’s reaction and the bizarre being married still a thing. I wouldn't have minded if they had shown this after the divorce.
Sometimes, it's easier to pour your heart out to strangers because of the lack of any strings in the conversation. You have nothing to lose. Shiva warned her about his shortcomings and how she should find a better man than him.
I like Shivi and their journey. It isn't cliched. It's interesting to see two people having so much chemistry yet so distant. How they cover the gap is their USP.
I would have been extremely bored if two normal pati-patni like progress had been shown.
We have Gaura for that!
