Badtameez Baa

That woman lacks basic manners and etiquettes. She is consistently disrespectful and rude. I have no idea what 'teachings' Anupamaa boasts about all the time- 'Baa yeh sikhati hain, Baa woh sikhati hain'. Because Baa never seems to practice what she has apparently preached. The way she spoke to Nandini in today's episode good Lord! And Anupamaa just stood there in silence. This girl is not just her beloved son's partner but she has given Anupamaa more respect and support than her own so called family has ever given her. And yet, here we are.

Baa also lacks empathy. That is obvious in her abuse towards Anupamaa but in all her conducts as well. Do you remember the way she questioned Anuj about his mother's demise in the Janmashtami episode? She is insensitive. No thought to anybody's suffering whatsoever until and unless it is about her son or herself. And we all know why she called Anupamaa 'beti' during and after the divorce. It wasn't because she was ashamed of what she had done or because she held Vanraj accountable for his infedility. She simply wanted to retain Anupamaa in that house otherwise saara kaam kaun karega?

Toshu was right about one of many things in his outburst- if Baa kept quiet, half of their problems would just vanish. Anupamaa has all the lectures in the world for everybody but none for Baa. Her uncivil nature is acceptable because she is the elderly. Everyone must mollycoddle her no matter what. Vanraj is a bad father but Anupamaa isn't a successful parent either. She has not only set a bad example for her daughter but also expects her daughter-in-laws to succumb to Baa's bullshit. I can't believe I am saying this but the chances of Vanraj redeeming himself seem far more realistic than Baa's. She has no self-awareness. Baa's ridiculous entitlement to everyone's respect even with her own lack of respect for others around her is Anupamaa's doing. She enables her toxic attitude. And she's truly pathetic for just that.

Exactly, respect should be earned not just given.

I mean what has Baa done that is so big 😆. I never understand this attitude in ITV. The only successful thing an elderly person such as Baa has done is lived up to that age. Heck Anu has done more work at home than Baa and raised more kids than Baa.

To add to the list, Baa is a bad friend too. She did not want any of her friends to be included in Anu's initiative. Even if it could help her friends 😡.

She has not kept one relation well. Apart from Vanraj and we all know how he turned out 🤪

Regardless, the actress of Baa does a fabulous job👏. I roll my eyes even before she speaks, such as I have been conditioned 🤣.

I fail to understand why anupama loves baa so much. She has always insulted her and now doing same with her Bahus too. First kinjal now Nandini.

I remember Anupama's mother oulined what it is to be a mother in law. The way i which Baba Yaga behavs and speaks of tradions and what not it is as good as the Devil walking around teaching the Biblical tenets. She is a disgrace to woman kind. She wants everyone around her to be within their limits Leela shah doesnt know even the spelling of the word.
