Whoa I had a gulp down my throat while reading that. If Erica does quit, there's no reason left for me to even keep a check on kuch rang updates. Sonakshi = Erica, not gonna tolerate otherwise.

Same. Till now I’ve been watching every day for Erica and Shaheer, if either of them quits it’s over for me too.
If it were false, this would have been denied already. Even news of denial fetches eyeballs, not like the production house cares much.
It is better to part ways than to be stuck doing something you don't enjoy any longer. Hope the makers take the cue and end it tastefully.
A beautiful nostalgic show and its memory (strictly S1 pre leap) deserve a happy closure. A non-sensical character written poorly and acted like meh should not be the takeaway from this once lovely show.

@bold; do you think that she is leaving? I just watch the show for Devakshi scenes, don’t care much about the story.
It would be far more interesting to see the character developments for example they could show how Dev isn’t as hotheaded as much as he used to be, or Sonakshi finds herself in two splits with combining household stuff and motherhood and being a wife. That’s what we saw in the promos for s3, and they still can turn this whole thing into something good for example how jealousy is when you’re married for a longer time and how Devakshi handle it. It’s not to late to turn it around.

I think she is quitting. There was an interview where she could have denied it but didn't so I just figured. Maybe there is updated news on social media, but I do not follow it.
Agree with your points on character development. Any casual viewer of the show can suggest better ideas to show conflicts or the distance between those two. Dev and Sona have enough reasons to drift apart even with the rigors of just normal life, put in Neha and Ishwari it could have become a good short series of 50-60 episodes.
However, I do not think the makers have the intent and the writers have the capability to think and understand nuance and subtlety. These are typical ITV writers who cannot think beyond, sautens and pointless drama.
