Entire childhood was spent learning how to romance, love, spread love from these Khans and their movies. Now in my close to budhapa age, to see that SRK, the KING of romance, whose entire career was based on movies/messages of love, is now being subjected to so much of hate that too for nothing, that too from the same countrymen who loved him so much.

Really hurts man. These kind of news make me worried what our next gen in India will grow up to. No positivity in life at all. Taking sadistic pleasure out of someone's misery, someone whom their parents/grandparents loved so much. The kids of this gen having so much hatred for the kid of SRK. Eeks. Targeting SRK leaving all criminals aside. Country's in sad state.

I don't think so. A gang of malcontents is not the whole of India. The same Indians also went to work on social media, finding photo and video evidence of political chicanery, I think the tide is turning. Once the powers-that-be realize public opinion is against them, they will wriggle out of the case. Of course Aryan will live with the stain on his rep.

While filing for bail & requesting for CCTV footage, #ArbaazMerchantt has stated that "footage will show that no contraband was recovered from him" and that it was "planted by the NCB".

When you take a closer look India Today and Republic aren't all that different from each other ..but not a topic for this thread.

Anyway, none of these channels should be covering this issue so much as if a huge crime has been committed. Even if he was in possession, which he wasn't...worse things are happening. Some people don't get the concept of magnitude;-yes "the law is the law" but having an mg or two of drugs is not the same as having committed murders or rapes or massive fraud. How about running prime time bulletins on those people ?

I think it's the opposite. Most of the people still dont have this awareness of online news etc. They rely on what TV channels show them. They are disappointed and sympathetic to SRK as a father because they have believed this news. Only may be 1% of them follow youtube independent news or so who'd know the whole story.

Media has done a great job in last 7 yrs, that today people dont think twice before believing a story on the man and wish ill on the children on the man who they loved so much growing up ! I dont know about public memory and all, I'm sure this will be forgotten, but the fact that the common people of India are following the story with the notion or hope that there will be punishments/no one's above the law etc. etc. is extremely sad. By no one, they have this inherent hatred now that they mean a specific community.

People like masala, not truth. They gloat is a rich kid being arrested because it somehow makes their life better.

You should try watching India tv sometime, they show the best news:
