It was never like that. Why? Because good or bad, a lot of things have changed in his life in a short period of time and he's struggling to cope. I had wanted Pallavi to help him deal with the source of the problem in the previous track but the writers didn't go that way at all for some reason. Those problems remain unresolved and if he doesn't address them and learn to find a proper way to deal with problems in general going forward, he will find an outlet. If he stops drinking, it will be something else that he will pick up. The alcohol in of itself is not the point, the point is that after a certain point he is very much unable to deal with his emotions and tries to forget them temporarily.

The real solution is for him to get therapy and try to deal with all those repressed and not-so-repressed pain and trauma. Until that is done, the abstinence from alcohol is only a band-aid. But this is MHRW and ITV so I doubt any of this will come up.

Yep therapy is beyond the scope of itv, otherwise I would advocate for Pallavi to put him in one. How long can one deal with a drunk husband 🤪

vaise last whole week he was sober and taking care of Pallavi. They have had many good days after marriage too where he’s not been drunk.

it’s just his extremely unhealthy coping mechanism- this time he got drunk because he realised 3 showrooms are tanking and felt bad that he had to fire his employees. So an issue was there. Just like before marriage. It’s all the same.

Pals is helping , I am glad.

Else trust mhrw to never touch upon significant things. I have a long list of complains.

Did I say that alcoholism was good? I have always talked about moderation for him in terms of his habits (drinking alcohol or otherwise), and her in terms of her approach.

I just want to see a balanced approach and I want him to stop drinking or reduce his drinking because he himself realizes that it's not going to do him any good when his youth is no longer on his side and not because people have to use scare tactics or twist his arm. Is that too much to ask?

I wish there was a way for me to just watch just their scenes from the first ep to now. Love their chemistry too & it's def the USP of the show.

Hotstar used to have the "kahani ab tak" videos - which condensed the episodes to mainly their scenes, but I don't have a hotstar acct anymore 😭. Then I checked youtube - but prob bc copyright, no one can post all of them, especially not in succession. I wish I could just see a build up of all their moments.

I think there are some insta accounts that have such clips but they get taken down often so not sure how to find them.
