Bapuji and his loudmouth Leela

If he's so proud of Anupama and so excited for her in her new innings of life, why can't he ever open up his mouth to control his uncouth, disrespectful and demeaning wife and son. When he told Vanraj he doesn't need to give him an explanation why couldn't he also say Anupama doesn't owe him any explanation either. And when he can announce good news with such enthusiasm, why can't he stop his wife before she tears that card and shames the character of his "daughter". Maybe he respects his wife a lot, never wants to misbehave and control her like his son always did to Anuapama, but if Leela is an outdated woman, why doesn't she ever stay silent in front of her husband and not argue with him the way she always made Anupama behave with Vanraj? All her rules for what a wife should be like to her husband, she never follows herself. I'm surprised that she hasn't yet declared that Anupama can no longer cook in that kitchen because she has now cooked at a Paraya mard's house. And waiting for Bapuji to ever open his mouth and genuinely support Anupama, I'll probably become his age only. And Leela is so encouraging about Kavya working with paraya mards at whichever job she'll end up doing(If you ask me, she'll definitely end up at AK's company only), so is it that she just can't stand that the uneducated woman she disapproved of and hated her whole life who divorced her evil, useless son and has not fallen apart like everyone expected her to is now getting all the appreciation and love and success that her son isn't getting and that she herself was never capable of giving her. She's clearly not against women working or working with paraya mards, she just can't stand that it's Anupama doing it. All this talk of izzat and sharam of the family, people will not look down on Anupama moving on and getting married after divorce, that's the normal and accepted thing to do. What's not normal is staying in the same house as your ex husband and his new wife and continuing to be a slave to a family that's disrespected you constantly and consistently. The society Leela cares about should actually be allowed to give her a couple of their genuine opinions which would be that she's insane to be living this way and needs to let her ex bahu leave and move on with her life. Even the neighbours whose opinions she values so much would say so.

No two ways about it, babuji should have given a tight slap on leela's face first and then told her that his slap was for insulting and degrading his daughter. He should have added that if she does not change her ways, he will kick her out along with her sapola son and his ever crowing 2nd wife. Enough nonsense from leela and vanraj. Writers, this was blood boiling and disgusting scene from a woman for a woman. The witch had no problem when Anu cooked in a paraya married mard's kitchen when she cooked at the cafe. Atleast Anuj is single so is Anu.

Mrs Leela shah belongs to the era where a woman should never be happy if she married or divorced especially if she is the daughter in law

But has a problem with Anupama’s name being printed on an invite next to her business partners name seriously ??

Isnt Anupama cooking in her Ex husbands house who is technically a. Paraya Mard now to her? - that works fine I guess

Characters . Like Leela , vanraj , parithosh who are the most regressive characters make and set rules that suits them

And Anupama has to justify , guilt trip herself when she is not even accountable to them

Wish Anuj & Anupama start a hot fiery romance 🤣 and those 3 plus Kavya burn themselves in it 🤣

Hasmukh is manipulative af. He just wants a free maid and does the bare minimum of supporting his "daughter". He doesn't bother stopping his motor mouth because he knows Anupama will never mind. They both are extremely selfish who manipulate Anupama all the time and Anupama ke bhi kya kehne, abhi bhi usi ghar mein hai hadd hai 🤦

If Anupama swallowed her pride and smiled and ran behind everyone saying Sorry how can one speak up. In a joint family if everyone starts speaking their mind it becomes pandemonium

Leela is an outdated woman, why doesn't she ever stay silent in front of her husband and not argue with him the way she always made Anupama behave with Vanraj? She never walks her talk. Her taunts and rules are for othjers. She never once had remorse for the way she raised her son. For her its all about her needs and her alues what she thinks or whatever pleases her on. She will not hesitate to low up her house to save her son. She was eating Kakras with her ladla and his wife why couldnt she make her food?

Anupama can no longer cook in that kitchen because she has now cooked at a Paraya mard's house.

Leela can never starve or see her son eating without licking his fingers eating Anupamas food. She not only differentiates between daughter and daughter in law but supports Kavya as the Paraya Aurath was her loser son's choice.

Anupama was Baba Yagas mother in law's choice. She thought her son was the embodiment of virtues and very good looking till Anuj who was better in every way showed up. She cant stand the respect someone she and her loser son disapproved of and hated has not fallen apart .

Her Loser son and his incompetent wife are jobless but Anupam has carved a niche and is managing her work life balance so how can they let her be at peace.

Her son deserves all the happiness and adulation after his divorce but She just can't stand that Anupama is moving on and getting married after divorce.

Since nothing has changed in her life and her loser son has i addition a bedfellow of his liking she is scared Anupama would move out Then the onus of the house will fall on her and her incompetent son.

It is the insecurity that has made her vicious all the time.

This is so not true. Baapuji is respectful and often avoids confrontation. I agree that he should stop this since its been 25 years plus the fact that Anupamaa isn't even married anymore. But saying that Baapuji manipulates Anupamaa is just disrespect.

Baapuji is precious. Protect him at all costs!

Agree to disagree then. He is the role reason why Anupama still stays at the Shah house, if he doesn't do it actively, he's the enabler and how can tolerate character assassinating his "daughter" 24/7 ? Lol no he doesn't care about her. Doing the bare minimum don't make him "precious"

He does more than the bare minimum. The only reason he doesn't argue or slap his wife is because he isn't like Vanraj. He prefers to make his wife understand his decisions rather than just blindly obey anything he says.

Baa might be a bitch, but she's still a person and Baapuji understands that.

Everytime that Anupamaa has gotten an offer for a job or anything that will help her progress, Baapuji has supported and encouraged her including her partnership with Anuj.

Also keep in mind, that it was Baapuji who suggested that anupamaa start her dance academy in his 'kaarkhana'. So yes, he is precious and has tried to help her.

Also, Baapuji doesn't just emotionally blackmail and manipulate Anupamaa into staying in the house after the divorce. He gives her an equal share in the house and tells her that she has as much right over the house as his own son and daughter. He hasn't enabled anything.

The fact is, why is the woman always expected to leave if she wants to start a new beginning while the man stays at home, pampered by his family? Anupamaa's children live in that house and she herself has lived there for 25 years. Arre 25 years ke baad ko US ka bhi green card mil jaata hai, fir ye toh sirf ghar hai.

Never said he should slap his wife, that would be abusive. Point is, leela will never understand and he should've realised that. He knowingly or unknowingly has bound Anupama to that house, why is it that his wife never works and only Anupama does?

Why did her never stand up for Anupama all these 25 years? It was feeble because Leela and her son still treated Anupama like that.

Hasmukh is not outright negative, he in a way is an enabler for all that happens.

Well, I can't comment on women leaving the house always but it's clear Vanraj will not move out because he is the so-called son of the house and has support from Leela. Isn't it better to just leave than live with one's own abusers viz leela and vanraj?

This is why I want her to move out, for her own mental peace. She deserves so much better than this trash family who only remembers her when there's a crisis.

Never saying, Hasmukh is awful but if he truly valued Anupama, he should set her free from the responsibilities of that house. It's only so much that a woman can do, she has slaved away her entire life for that ungrateful family, time for her to move on and live a better life.
