The jungle concept looks interesting but I think producers over did it and made it too complicated.

Like the way she was talking was so ott and cheesy lol. Jay was finding it so difficult to hold his laughter 😂😂

Also the editing was very off the mark at certain points. Last waale contestants ko toh stage pe laane ki zaroorat hi kya thi agar unko dikhana hi nahi tha? Seedha ghar mein bhejte 😂😂

Aur kya ninja technique use ki hai Donal aur Leshaan ka forced connection banwane ka producers ne 😂😂

I bet bb will assign them the roles of the main vamp and her minion of this season (I find them fine though lol) 😂😂

I still can not understand why Donal and Leeshan send to actual jungle. They don't have any interaction with any other members. It's disadvantage? If they are just 2, how will the provide content?

May be one of the OTT Contestant will join them there

As for what my first impressions were of the housemates:

Jay: I liked him. Good balance of comedy and seriousness. Liked his sarcastic wit as I also partake in that sort of humor lol. Can’t wait to see this aggressive side of his he claims he has😂😂

Vishal: Nice dude and and very funny too. Maybe slightly overdid it with the jokes but perhaps he was nervous. Liked his chemistry with Tejaswini. Really inspiring story from rags to riches. Best of luck to him.

Tejaswini: First time seeing her. Really bubbly and funny and very confident in herself but again overacted a bit perhaps cuz she might have been nervous.
Early candidate for this season’s winner seeing her massive fanbase on all sm from twitter to Insta to Youtube to even here on IF. All of you fans of her must be very excited supporting the most likely winner 😂😂

Vidhi Pandya: Sweet and polite but bland. Didn’t really stand and unfortunately for her might not last long

Simba Nagpal: Sweet kid in a grown up man’s body 😂😂

Anyone who’s seen him in Splitsvilla knows while very sweet he’s one of the biggest dumbos in that show’s history 😂😂

He’s like Moose Mason from Archie comics without the anger issues 😂🤣

Donal: Strong headed, opinionated, confident and perhaps also a little nervous. Will most likely be casted as this season’s vamp but hey vamps get a lot of footage and stick for long so good for her 😂😂

Waise I like her though. At least she has a strong personality unlike a lot of other female contestants this season lol

Leshaan: Honestly he looked like a muscular Sonu Nigam and tried to act like Asim (woh bhi Asim ke bhai ke saamne lmao) but I think he’s good at heart and means well.

Just an inexperienced boy trying too hard out of nervousness of being on finally getting on the biggest reality show in South Asia and sharing stage with the biggest actor in Bollywood (For me SRK will always be bigger, come at me bhai fans 😂😜)

But don’t worry jab Sallu 2-3 wkvs constant dose dega toh khud line pe aajaeye ga 😂🤣

Umar: So Asim is my all time fav contestant and so I will obvio have a soft spot for his bro. Having said that I actually liked Umar regardless of his relationship with Asim.

He reminds me of Asim but is different enough that he will not have constant Asim comparisons. He can be his own person.

He seems to favour using brains over brawns and might be another gamer/ mastermind this season like Nishant (except the kabootar bit lmao...like wth were u thinking bruh?? Great animal wrong reason😂🤣)

Yet despite being a gamer he has a good heart just like Asim. A mastermind with a good heart is always popular lol

Another reason I really liked Umar was cuz he showed how desperate he was for this show and how he was willing to do whatever it takes to make the game more entertaining and win the show.

That’s exactly why I liked Pratik & Nishant in OTT. They also had the same chahat for winning the show unlike many others who only come here for free lunches and take this platform for granted.

Hello everyone! I am usually mostly a silent reader of the DDT and have enjoyed myself over the years reading all your posts (most of which I agree with rather than the main forum). After a long time, I have been excited to watch Bigg Boss (partly due to what an annoying mess BB OTT became). I hope this season doesn't disappoint but I will still maintain low expectations, be ready for disappointment, and much biasedness. Anyway my thoughts on the premier episode/contestants.

I was a little unsure about the jungle concept (since most times, BB concepts are epic fails) but I am intrigued by the elaborate set-up-- although all the expenses and detailing of the concept means planning for tasks/other activities will be sacrificed? I hope not. I hope they spent as much time in designing interesting tasks and allow natural development of connections/rivalries/strategies.

Jay: I think Jay might be able to connect with audiences very well due to his hosting background, he can be funny but not sure if I will like him yet.

Vishal: I appreciate his journey in life, where he has come from and what he has achieved but hopefully it won't be his only card to play. He kinda seems funny although doesn't need to talk that much.

Tejasswi: Seems cute and childish. Although she does seem to have the competitive spirit. I hope she tones down the childishness though and is able to articulate herself in the game well.

Simba: Simba looks gorgeous and he might see himself as a "sher" but I feel like he is the deer that is going to get eaten alive by the sher.

Umar: Umar is gorgeous. He also seemed like a sweet personality but after watching the episode, I don't find him as mature/grounded. It seemed a bit weird to me that instead of saying "I had this dream of participating on Bigg Boss/being part of showbiz but couldn't until Asim paved the way, he seemed (in my opinion) to dismiss Asim's contributions there. And then his whole manipulation as his strategy (which is fine as a strategy) but then why say it on stage and why try to showcase a contradicting image. Anyhow, we shall see how long he lasts.

Donal: Donal looked gorgeous in the red gown. I liked that she seems to be able to speak her mind, loud and clear. But for some reason, I kinda feel like she might be like the female version of Pratik in the annoyance level. I hope I am proven wrong. I wonder why she and the other contestant are in actual jungle. I feel bad seeing them all sweaty out there.

Karan: Another good looking one. One of the few I am actually familiar with this season because I have watched some of his shows. He seems to emanate a strong, charming personality with loads of aggression, seems perfect for BB material.

Confused on whether it is Lee-shaan or ee-shaan. Anyhow, he kinda scared me with how aggressive he was in the stage akada task with Umar and yet he was cribbing about being hurt by Umar.

Most of the times in the earlier seasons, I would wish for some good-looking one and always disappointed and this season is festival of all kinds. 😆 I feel bad for the last three contestants who got the royally snubbed step-children treatment. Why was it hard to spend five extra minutes on them when they spent so much time on others?

My favorites from the premier episode: Akasa, Karan Kundrra, Tejasswi, Jay, and Vishal (only cause I think he might have a comedy appeal but he might annoy me if he continually tries to play the sympathy card). I think Viddi and Sahil might get eliminated early. What do I know though? Most of the times in the past few seasons, my favorites have not won. 😆

I liked that the contestants this season tried to have some fun with some of the contestants entering--making Simba believe they were locked and having him look for the code and ignoring Karan when he entered I wished they showed more of that in the episode-- way more interesting than some of the fan-girling over Salman.

Does anyone else feel annoyed at the prospects of Pratik, Shamita, and Nishant being tribe leaders? Pratik will be unbearable (why does he need to get a ready made platform to be annoying?) and unfair the queen will not get to experience the jungle treatment. 🤔

Serious wonderings though, will they really not get access to the toilet/washroom 😲

Before I continue with the contestants I must add that Salman looked even more bored today than last season. Mujhe laga tha kahi stage pe hi na sojaeye boriyat se 😂😂

Also yeh Donal aur Leshaan ko kidhar bhej diya bhai? Kaunse khandaraat aur jungleaat mein bhej diya 😂😂

I mean I know how despo bb is for creating forced showmances every season par yeah sab karne kya zaroorat thi woh waise hi kar lete trps ke liye 🤣🤣

Becharon ke saath kitna bura hua nai? 😂🤣

Also the dance performances and video packages were also lackluster this time. It’s like they put all their focus on making sure their set is perfect that they forgot about the rest of aspects and aesthetics of the premier 😂😂

Contestants continued:

Karan: Confident, slightly arrogant, cool, could be aggressive (in a good way in terms of bb) and a star. Again a sure shot finalist regardless of how he does cuz he’s 100% gotten a minimum guarantee contract as a big star but I’m sure he would have made it to the finals regardless.

Akasa: Cool, chill and nice enough but again not standing out as much but lets see It’s just day 1 for now.

Miesha: Typical Mtv reality shows starlet. Was very a bitchy type of contestant in Splitsvilla lol

But she ain’t on the level of previous mtv starlets in bb like Prince, Priyank, Pratik, Divya. She’s more like Naina and might not last long but I do see potential in her and perhaps a love angle might do her wonders.

From what I hear she is very close with Pratik after they had appeared on ace of space. So maybe something might cook up there and heck who knows Neha might be brought back as a wild card later to generate extra drama by har*mi bb 😂🤣

Sahil: Calm, reserved, dignified, intelligent. I do see potential in him and he was great in the task but he might just be too silent and may take too long to open up which is a massive no no in bb lol

Afsana Khan: She looked kinda awkward, outta place and nervous on stage but ignore that cuz she’s got massive potential to create drama imo. Remember she already created news before bb even started by leaving and then coming back 😂😂

Give her some time and I bet she’ll burst like a volcano and is going to be responsible for a lot of show downs and who knows might even end up as a much more palatable and nicer Dolly Bindra (the loud yelling when angry bit) 😂🤣

Overall, really interesting bunch of housemates and for sure better than last season’s bunch. Also even though the male lineup is overall better this time but looking at public support most likely there’s going to be a female winner (Tejaswini) this season as well unless a Gautam or an Asim or a Rahul type underdog explodes outta nowhere 😂😂

Can’t wait to catch up with the ott housemates tomo and btw lol at Shamita and Nishant already fake fighting on the stage for footage (doing what Pratik & Divya did on OTT premier lol).

They are already vulnerable with so many tough contestants coming in the house and instead of sticking together these morons are infighting 😂😂

Anyways guys my posts are finally finished. Whew!! Can relax now but plz do take a peak if u have the time. Would love to hear y’alls thoughts. Ciao! 😂😂
